I'm sure it's been discussed about would we be able to get anyone worth a damn to replace him. I think that may be a different discussion than just sayign the guy isn't very good and it's pretty obvious he hasnt' done anything of note since his much lauded arrival in auburn.

To be honest, so long as Jacobs is around we need to keep Barbee. I do not want Jacobs making another hire. Only decent hire he has made is the women's bball coach.

That's a good point. Long and short of it is, we're bad, i personally don't think barbee is going to change that but i also don't have a better plan so i'll just sit back and watch us be bad and get bent out of shape every wednesday and saturday.

but but but Barbee is a great recruiter. Have you not hear, he gets no support. All he got was a 100 million dollar arean with new lockerrooms and practice facilites. They cancelled midnight madness, the mans is working with hands tied behind his back.

I don't like auburn being this bad at hoops but i have enjoyed the barbee apologist turning it down some.

Auburn isn't the type of program that can fire a coach every 3 or 4 years and hope to get a decent replacement. Like him or not we have to give him time to turn the program around or no coach worth a shite is going to give the job a 1st or 2nd thought. He has made mistakes like putting all his eggs in the Varez Ward(no link but feds declined to press charges against him) basket and his inability to land a SEC level PF. We aren't quite the dumpster fire we were when he took over and as long as he shows even slight improvement I will continue to support him.

Which is how long? Hell even Lebo had a winning season by now.

Its exactly the same. He is playing the same garbage players he got from Lebo.

At Auburn 5 years minimum without off the court issues.

So you think it takes 5 recruiting classes to turn things around in the one and done era of college bball?

Guess since Barbee no longer has his 1st rcruiting class since he ran them all off, then he gets an extra year. Maybe by year 5 we can reach the CIT. Then shoot for the bigtime of the NIT in year 6.

Since Auburn has never and probably never will land a 1 and done level player, yes I do.

Technically Barbee entire first recruiting class was one and done.
