Tonight is one of the best highlights ever as a Braves/Auburn fan. I was about 30 feet (on the first base foul line side) from Harper missing the catch and Huddy hitting his home run.

Nothing better for our ace pitcher to hit a bomber on his 200th win. That also makes him the first SEC pitcher to make it to 200 wins in the MLB.

Even better would have been if he hit the first one out as well.

Nothing wrong with him planning for a cycle on his 200th.

Dying in a fire is probably a very similar feeling to my ongoing case of severe sunburn since that weekend.

Oddly, I can't offhandedly think of a single baseball fan that is a student here that isn't a Braves fan. I see them, but don't actually know any. I'm sure we've got some in the closet sox or Yankees fans running around though.

Man I used to love the Braves. I was even at Toomer's Corner the night Sid Bream slid into home against the Pirates. Then, every mf'er decided they needed to be a Braves fan. frick those people.

If you didn't suffer through Rick Camp, Claudel Washington, Dale Murphy, Bob Horner, et al, you can't truly appreciate fandom. I got off that bandwagon and suffer with the Cubs......

So in about 3 years when they get really good and all their 'fans' come out of the wood work (2003 style) you'll be a padres fan?

I agree with this though. Gotta love the person who is a fan of the Bulls, 49ers and Braves. Gotta love the 90s

Leave it to an Auburn fan to have to be in the minority. Damn man

My family were all Braves fans, particularly my dad's parents, so I never really thought about pulling for another team.

frickin' pretender... try suffering through years of Mike Lum, Johnny Oates, Larvell "Sugarbear" Blanks, Rowland Office, Earl Williams, Darrel Chaney, Pat Rockett, Biff Pocoroba, Barry Bonnell, etc. etc.

I've always liked the Cubs. Back when we only had (6) or so channels and you still had to get up to turn em, WGN outa Chicago was one of our stations. Since the Cubs only played day games at Wrigley back then (no lights), they were on just about every day I got home from school. I grew up watching them play. If they win the Series anytime soon (which they won't btw), I doubt they'll be many bandwaggoners down here.

I also like the Pirates because I was a big Stargell/Madlock and Bonds/Bonilla fan.

Nah, I get it. I'm sure a lot of people root for the Cubs in some form or fashion because they were always on WGN in the afternoons. It's just funny how you moved from a long-suffering team to one that has suffered even more.

There are a lot of Cubs fans that are LSU folks on the MSB. No idea why.

Personally, I find following baseball in general is suffering, but that's just me.

You left off this guy:

Once tagged out at 2nd base on an unassisted double play - by the catcher.
