The total lack of self-awareness in this paragraph by a UGA writer is amazing

quote:

Auburn deserves a ton of credit for playing a truly complete football game, giving life to my fear expressed before the game that the Plainsmen are peaking at the right time. But I’ll say this: Kirby Smart will remind his 2018 team about the challenge Malzahn called for on that fourth quarter spot. He’ll remind them about the Auburn PA playing Soulja Boy in the waning moments in an act of good sportsmanship one would expect from an Auburn man. Those were possibly the biggest mistakes Auburn made all night. They’re the ones no one in red and black will forget.

Challenging the spot? Maybe if Kirby had decided to end the game as quickly as possible instead of continuing to try to score with less than 3 minutes and behind by 30 points, Gus wouldn't have challenged the spot. Oh, you're coach is still trying to score in a game long over? Then GAME ON, bitches.

And y'all are complaining about Soulja Boy and playing the "class and sportsmanship" card? Really?

It was 4th down. It would end the game. Preserve the 30 point win.

Oh the UGA melt has been delicious. 247 has been glorious. They are ready to run Barton Simmons out of town because he had the nerve to tweet a screenshot of their dumb fans posting about not showing up next week to send Kirby a message. All those Dawg fans posing as writers on that site trying to convince them that AU didn't just kick their arse but that UGA mistakes played a bigger role. UGA fans crying everywhere & I love it

Nothing new here. They’ve always overlooked their thuggish play and blamed Auburn for everything. They are the worst fan base in college football. If you can dish out the thuggery and dancing around when you win, you’d better be able to take it when you get your arse whooped.

I swear Georgia fans have the most sand in the vagina out of all the fan groups possibly even sandier than LSU

He really does. And 99% of college coaches would have called for the replay. It was the right thing to do.

Some are bitching about us trying to run it up once Willis come in and passed the ball. That was not a called play and was not suppose to be a pass. Dude was wide open, Willis saw him and reacted. Gus told him after not to throw it again. Kid wanted to play.

The Solja boy complaint is just ridiculous.

How many personal fouls did UGA get this year? Typical UGA team coming to Auburn. They always play the dirtiest and then complain the most. Players were being serious thugs at the beginning of the game

I personally think that Willis should have run the full offense. Give the kid real reps, if the number 1 team in the nation can't stop our second string offense then maybe they shouldn't be number 1 in the nation.

As for challenging the spot, I agree with it. he should have challenged the spot so that he could end the game. frick anyone who disagrees on that one.

Soulja Boy being played, IMO, shouldn't have been played. Be above it but the guys deserved to have fun at the end of the game so I won't shite on them for doing it.

Remember it, take a picture, IDGAF!!

Auburn was faster as a team, stronger, and more physical. Auburn is better then UGA. would beat them in ATL again.

Would also love to see the entire UF team rush the end-zone after they score in the next WLCP.

Excluding Bama for obvious reasons, Georgia are the worst fans I have ever been around. I’ve been to Baton Rouge...I’ve been around UF fans in large numbers, they’re the fricking worst and it’s not even up for debate with me. My 3 trips to Athens will be experiences I’ll never forget.

Makes me wish we had let Malik finish that last drive off with a TD.

In 2011mIron Bowl, Saban went for 2 up 33-14 because the chart said to do it.

We did not stop them.

Whatever. Probably the right call. I'm sure that decision is charted.

UGA should ran up the middle 4 times and surrendered

Did he just call us classless for returning the favor regarding “Souljaboy”?

I've been to Athens 4 or 5 times now and never had a bad experience. I think a lot of it is luck on who you run across.

Does anyone really think SEC coaches think like this? I don't. I think it's basically like WWE -- they put on a show for the crowd but behind the scenes they party with each other.

I seriously doubt Kirby went home, watched the tape, then threw a beer bottle at the TV as he watched Gus challenge that call.
