I'll ask my dude tomorrow what he's heard. shite is crazy. He mentioned previously that Dean is a quirky dude, but this is getting ridiculous.

I imagine a lot of softball players didn’t like that Clint was fired and have been upset ever since.. We won quite a bit of games the year after he resigned mainly because the pitching was so good.

All of these transfers are very strange - I mean it sounds like there are some serious problems under the surface of it all but nothing has come out in the news about any of this. I agree that women's softball appears to be a sunken ship. Sucks. Those were some fun years we had.

A lot of players and parents were/are not happy about the way this staff communicates with the players. He is apparently a strange bird. With the transfer portal now, this is unfortunately going to become commonplace. Sucks to see these players transferring, but I think Dean deserves a couple years to get a roster full of his girls that he recruited to AU.

You have to give this new coach a chance. Just bc his personality doesnt fit the Meyer's communication skills, doesn't make him a bad softball coach.
Taylon leaving is a tough one, but think of it like this. She is recruited by Meyers, she lives in the state of Washington, her main reason for coming gets involved in a scandal involving his son, and has to resign. Taylon gets hurt, goes home to rehab. Add all this up, and I can see why she wants a new start, maybe closer to home. Let's see where she goes.
And finally, Look around, this is happening at a LOT of schools. We just don't like it happening at AU, and think all these kids love it here, and would never leave. I think softball is proving different than other sports. I see so many girls leaving good programs, and many from the school where the coach that recruited them is still there. So who knows...
Just got to evaluate Dean w his own recruits, and his own results on the field. We will know in the next 2-3 years if he can get us back to where Meyers took us. If not, then time to go look again.

I am not impressed with the current staff. They have taken a talented roster and turned them into our swimming/diving situation.
