So we're done taking transfer QBs that don't get arrested, right?

Because Hurts is transferring.

@CecilHurt: Jalen Hurts has entered the NCAA transfer portal according to a source with administrative access to the database.

He's not coming, but how awesome would it be if he came here, and Gus developed him into a substantially better passer

They haven't invented a trolling level to adequately describe that

Nick Marshall was a worse passer than 80 other QBs in 2013, Gus’ offense is hitting a wheel route or a skinny post. Jalen could excel in the offense with a decent run game.

NM had a better deep ball than Stidham and could run like a gazelle. Add that to elite decision making skills. Hurts has no elite skills. To put Hurts in the same category as NM is disrespectful to one of the best QBs in the SEC the past decade, and a bit racist, IMO.

he's what like 26-2 as a starter? Yea, what a terrible thing to compare one average passing running qb to another average passing running qb.

frick Jalen Hurts, but how in the hell could comparing him to NM be remotely considered racist?

making an unwarranted comparison between the two because they're both black, even if this plays itself out at a subconscious level

kinda like how, though not as much of an issue since it's on the other side of this, Will Hastings gets compared on this board to literally any white receiver ever even if they don't really have anything except their skin tone in common

Exactly. Why ruin his future job prospects with Gump boosters to come to Auburn?

We can certainly be in agreement that defense mechanisms are being engaged over this
