Shots Fired Near Auburn Vet School

Suspect is a 38 yo, from not Auburn.

Sounds like the Longleaf riff raff spilled over to Wire Road

Read that the cop was shot 8 times, with 2 being in the head.

So, according to what I've gathered, dude and his girl robbed The Drug Store on Dean Rd, got pulled over later at the Dollar General on Opelika Rd, shot the cop, fled, ended up in Crossland Downs off Wire at a relative's place, got into a shootout with cops, which had all the officers in the county looking for him, along with State Troopers and the SBI, relatives made it out, then the place went up in flames and they never came out.







So...what the hell did they rob from the Drug Store that led to this? Meth ingredients?

The last update on the article linked above said the officer is stable.

Damn, that's crazy.

It just feels like this kind of thing is happening more and more often but maybe that’s just recency bias talking

I had the misfortune in living in both Tiger Lodge and Garden District when someone was stabbed right outside my front door. Also had my apartment at The Connection broken in to. Each incident involved people that did not go to Auburn so I’m not sure what you can really do, but it sucks to keep hearing these stories pop up.
