They should worry us. Martin’s defense just gives us fits and they are a very physical team. We will have to shoot the ball well.

Martin is known for recruiting raw highly athletic kids to play fundamentally sound, aggressive defense .
Martin is not known to be an elite basketball X's and Os coach
SC scares a team like Auburn because the aggressive defense smothers our shooters who aren't able to blow by the highly leveraged defenders

He’s not at the top of the list of coaches I want drawing up a play with 10 seconds left. He is however the top coach if I want my players to beat the hell out of the other team for 40 minutes.

Not just in game, his offense/defense scheme isnt special. Pearl by comparison is considered at the forefront of flex offenses, out of bounds play and pre rule change full court press defense
I really like Martin, how he coaches and what he stands for. I just recognize his success is from how he motivates his players to emulate his intensity on defense and not Xs and Os
