Safe to say Barbee is gone...

if we lose out?
Can't believe I'm saying this because I was one of Barbee's biggest supporters in November, but this is absolutely ridiculous. 3 seniors in our starting lineup in his third year, and we look significantly worse than we did in Lebo's last year. All of this in one of the weakest years in league play I can remember.
Even if we manage to somehow beat Tennessee or Miss. St., how can anyone defend this crap, and how does Barbee keep his job?
Zero excuse for this kind of meltdown.

We have lost 13 of the last 14 games. What difference is 2 more games going to make? We are terrible.

Any coach that has a team that goes w/o a field goal for almost 14 minutes of play should be fired immediately.

Considering who our tard of an AD is, it could make a huge difference.
JJ will look for any excuse to keep Barbee. Win another game, and I think Barbee stays. But the noise will be too loud for JJ to ignore if we end the year losing 15 of 16.
But yeah, the fact that this question even has to be asked is ridiculous.

The way we've played, I just don't see us winning another one this year. We start well, but can't sustain any bit of momentum.
Tennessee has the motivation of being on the Tourney Bubble, and State is on the road, and we're 2-11 on the road this season (including neutral sites).
Maybe we win 1 or both, but I'm expecting 9-22 (3-15).

He should be gone, but he won't be. I supported the guy for way too long. Game after game of this with no improvement is too much to take.

If he is fired then JJ hires the next coach. I say all coaches keep their jobs as long as JJ is AD.

The dude is awful. Basketball can be turned around with one good recruiting class. Hell, it can be turned around with one good player. Barbee hasn't gotten it done in three years. I doubt a fourth is gonna get us there.....

I understand why we don't have players. It's what he does with the guys when they're on the court is what I don't like. No movement in the offense, no off the ball screens. It's the center coming out to set a high screen then pass it around with no one moving and jacking up a terrible shot. He wants to run the dribble drive and we don't have the players. Sometimes you have to change your philosophy to cater to what the players can actually do.
