I've witnessed both coach on the field, and while both are hard-asses, Rocker will not run off players. He seems to have a better grasp that each player is different and respond to different things.
No comment on the "pressures" because I don't know.
Frankly, Garner used to frick alot of single Mothers on the recruiting trail, and sway many recuits in other ways as well. He's getting long in the tooth for that to be a good strategy.
I think both are good coaches. I think Garner is an a-hole like Trickett that sometimes serves no purpose. While Rocker doesn't do that.

I'm assuming this is also with the "wait till one month after the season starts to call him up so that the year doesn't count against his arbitration years" plan.

Garner has a wife and six children, but sure, by all means, let’s throw out unprovable accusations about the guy while trying to compare him to a new coach.

There is no personal or second-hand witness of dubious deeds on my part. I just know a guy going back to Leeds HS and AU, and him and Rotney are thick as thieves. You know, the same bullshite that is proffered as real stuff, but this happens to actually be true.

The best recruiting story I ever heard was one a former Bama player told me a coach had told him about David Palmer.
The coach, it may have been Cotrell, went to visit David in the old projects next to Legion Field. He walked in and David, his girlfriend, and his mother were watching a hardcore porno so he just sat down and watched it with them. After a few minutes he went to speak and David and his girlfriend had gotten up and went to the bedroom. He starts talking to David’s momma while she is hold David’s one year old son and she asks him if he wants to slip into the other bedroom for a bit.
On a side note according to the player that told me this David’s son lived in the dorm with him pretty much the whole time he was at Bama.
