Anybody heard anything about Rod potentially being in a bad car wreck today? I hope it isn’t true.

I really hope this wasn’t the result of distracted driving

Hey Mods, can we lock the Heard Rod Bramblett and his wife were in a wreck thread so it's stuck at 109? It had the perfect last post.

Sheesh Sonny.. making jokes about Ted Valentine showing up today to make sure Rod is really gone..

I love Sonny but the guy has no filter at this age.

Rod would’ve appreciated that joke. I found Sonny’s speech to be perfect

I don't disagree.. but kind of hard to hear when you are his kid just wishing he was there.

Yeah, I enjoyed Coach Smith's speech. It's always good to have somebody like him speak to bring some laughs and lighten the mood a bit, you don't want the whole thing to be a completely somber and depressing affair, you want to celebrate the lives of your loved ones.

I'm sure the kids knew their dad's sense of humor well enough to know he would have appreciated it, and I'm also sure they met Coach Smith enough times to know what was coming with him and that he meant it out of love for their father.

Bruce is such a genuinely kind person. Hats off to him, he knew exactly the right things to say when addressed Josh and Shelby directly

He said how well they were handling everything. He said how him, and Auburn, and the entire community will be there to support them, but that they'll also give them the space and time they need. That they'll be there to check in on them to make sure they're okay, but also not to be afraid to reach out because they won't hesitate to help them, and basically just that the entire Auburn community loves them.

I thought it was a really good message because everybody always talks about supporting loved ones in times like this, but people often forget that the loved ones also need a certain amount of space and time to heal. Just seemed like the kind of message that would be extremely comforting to me if I were in that situation because I know I would want a little bit of space.

Not sure if anyone else came, but it was a moving service. Andy's speech was perfect.

I love y'all on here.

I think the saddest part was seeing not 1 but 2 caskets being taken out w/ his 2 children following behind.

Such a difficult way to lose a father and a mother...

It really was. I caught him and the preacher that followed. Impressed at the amount of Greek that gentleman knows.

The preacher was George Mathison. Retired from Auburn United Methodist. Everyone who spoke did a great job. They did a great job of also remembering Paula.
