Rocky - Do I remember correctly that you moved out of state around the time of the Black Forrest fire?

I spend a couple weeks a year in southern Utah. Really, really cool area. But I swear those arches allow the heat from hell to blow through during the summer months.

And for the record, I am a expert at staying hydrated. Utah sounds nice. I will probably fly through there again one day.

That's me 7 months of the year, sans the flip-flops. I don't wear flip-flops. Also, three layers = undershirt, shirt, & pullover like a Patagonia fleece. The only wardrobe difference from the deep south would be the undershirt. I also wear a lot more toboggans as headgear rather than a baseball cap. There's also many southern transplants in Utah - me among them - which is a nice benefit.

The fishing is very different. Its all spinning and fly fishing rigs. No open faced baitcasting here. You almost exclusively fish moving water. IDK if you could handle it, LanierSpots

(edit) If someone can tell me how to "quote" images, I would appreciate it. I've posted on tigerdroppings for 2-3 years and I haven't figured it out.

Not by much if at all, and the sun usually is shining after a snow. You have more issues with keeping your windshields clean after a snow than during a snowstorm. You have to refill washer fluid more than anything.

Colorado winters are not difficult outside of an occasional heavy snow or severe cold streak.

Salt Lake City abuts the Wasatch range so we have inversions, where the atomsphere inverts and bad air and pollution is trapped in the SLC valley. Two years ago we had 96 consecutive days of it. The good thing is that you can just drive up Emigration, Millcreek, Big Cottonwood or Little Cottonwood Canyons to get some Vitamin D.

I saw a dude wearing flip flops and shorts at costco when the temp was in single digits so your argument holds no water with me.
