I didnt watch the game Saturday night. I admit it, I was basically too drunk to watch by 7:00. Its a sad state but it happened. Lots of people, lots of alcohol, major stress on me lately with my business, I just fricking got drunk Saturday afternoon by 6pm. Its a rarity but it happened and I am really not sorry for it. There even was a 1am trip to Waffle House for 8 of us. In one car and a DD. Close the book on that story. IT was bad

Watched the game yesterday afternoon. Was pleased and I want to share some of my sober insights with you. My people. Except for you dirty fricking alters

1 - Pettway looked much better. Not back to 2016 Pettway but he looked like he had a little burst, some agility and he even looked like he gave a frick. Big win for us

2 - The flop play on our first drive was a thing of beauty. When I saw that play, we had to back it up about 109 times to watch it again. shite was gold. I wanted so bad to just pause the game and run to this board to see you guys insight on it since I had not read the board at all.

3 - We still have some receivers dropping too many passes. I would have thought this would be cleaned up by now but it looks like its going to be here all year. Bad

4 - Stidham looked good but not great this week. I would not rate this weeks performance as good as a few of the others. He had some drops but his pocket awareness is still not there

5 - The offense line is still not great. Tega is not ready and wont be this year. He got Stidham rocked once and there was one play where Chandler Cox got his pasty arse man handed. You cant let the QB get rocked from his blind side. It will haunt him

6 - Good time for the off week. Players basically get two weeks to recover. Don't know how bad James was hurt but two weeks should help.

7 - TAM Is a pivotal game. We go in there, play well and win, it could really get the team up for the final stretch.

8 - Defense only gave up one TD and it was a trash TD against our second string. I was impressed by the end result of the defense Saturday. Two field goals, one trash TD. Very nice. Also, Big Cat could be good. If he can put on some pounds, he could be our next good end rusher. I like

9 - WTF is going on with our kick coverage. Two TD's in consecutive games? Illegal block be damned. And is Carlson on the Sean White senior diet plan? Kick off's out of bounds and not getting us our damn touchbacks? Fire that mother fricker

10 - Gus - You make me hurt bro. Way down deep inside.

ETA :

11 - And I forgot, sorry beatbammer - Malik fricking Willis

It was very windy Saturday.... late in the 2nf quarter Bramlett mentioned the wind was changing directions.

Gotta think that played into Carlson’s game being off.

Slayton has the droppies lately. Wish we would throw to NCM a little more.

Darius Slayton would’ve had over 200 yards if he would just catch the call. He made some clutch plays, but he left a lot of “could’ve been” on the field.

Here is the real weird thing about that trip. 8 of us, I picked up the tab, I seem to do that a lot, was $148

Tell me how 8 people ate $148 at waffle house

What was up with the Refs?

Late reviews, questionable overturns, pick up the flag on blatantly obvious block in the back...

Did the refs miss a call against us and spend the rest of the game doing make up calls?

$148 is quite impressive! Did everybody have soup and salad with their breakfast?

I didn't watch either. I am too angry to be objective after LSU. I am sure there were high points and the team looks like it is turning the corner just like the last 2 years. I'm not a melter but I'm not getting sucked in again by Gus.

Fished all day on Lake Martin with the water dropping. It was brutal. Wife and I went to a soft opening on a new restaurant here in Bham. Upscale Mexican with a tequila bar. You'd love it.

I watched some of the 4th qt.

I wanted to figure it out but I know that will remain a mystery forever. The only person that knows for sure is my friends wife who drove us.

It's infuriating because dude flashes some elite potential. He's got great size, outstanding speed and a large catch radius (when he you know actually catches it). But he's struggling to make the tougher plays and he's hopeless on 50/50 balls. I get why he gets targets because he's got big time potential but he's not doing enough with them to earn as many as he's getting

I would love to see us hit NCM on one of those quick screens. He was outstanding after the catch in high school. Dude also has the best hands on the team & might have some of the best I have ever seen at AU. He is being woefully underused. I do think some of it is on him because he's not doing a great job getting separation. Rounds off his routes too much and isn't as physical as should be

Drunk at 6 and a $148 Waffle House trip at 1 likely means she needs a little time before you ask any questions.

My dad called me after the game and said our only chance of beating Alabama was if we ran read option with Willis like it was the 2013 Iron Bowl I told him he may be right but it's past his bedtime

People have to remember with Slayton, a lot of schools were recruiting him as a DB. He is a great athlete, but even coming out of high school he wasn't really a natural receiver. Drops will probably always be an issue with him.

I totally agree with you. I will not be asking. $148 is a small price to pay for Saturdays adventure. Im good with it. Paying for things is the only thing old people are good for. I get it

Was it just me or did Malik Willis look really really good on the two runs he had? I know it is probably just a dream but mad that dude looks like money. By the way, his high school coach was at my party Saturday.

Good analysis throughout, but one comment rose above the rest:
