That’s was a loaded list. I’d be surprised if they got close to the UGA visitors list

OM is (was) the #10 7A team in the state, so they’re not just total scrubs. Though the one game I saw them play this year they didn’t look particularly sharp. I wasn’t saying he should be a receiver, I was just sharing his statline because was ridiculous and I thought him grading himself as a C was funny. We need kids like that on our team! You certainly know more about the AHSAA game than I do and I meant no contention.

I was at the game and it was one of those where we could play a sub-par game - which we did - and still win somewhat comfortably. The difference in the lines was almost comical. Our bigs on both sides of the ball towered over theirs.

They may be the 4th best team in the region but that isn't saying much. After Thompson, Hoover and Trussville the gap is enormous.

Should be noted Omari had what would have been a 4th TD wiped off the board. 80 yardish screen pass called back for a hold.

It is mostly a gut feeling, but I believe CBH and staff are about to go all out recruiting for AU within a 100 miles and less from Auburn University and Auburn High School. That includes quite a few many, many quality schools and a LOT of quality players. Bama will get their share, but they can not take them all. I forgot about John Sullen. He took a lot of shite on here, but we now have two decent O Line commits from the same school (that experience playing together can not be understated, especially with a QB coach / OC son at center). He can suck and miss assignments IDGAF, if he recognizes and calls out proper protection. But he won't be missing many assignments or calling improper alignments. AHS'88...I am really happy to see some of our guys stay home for a few years and knock some folks around inside JMFHS. I promise you, these guys know what it is about - coaches and players. I think CBH and staff are going to recruit much better in the South than most people think. ESPECIALLY locally, within about that radius. All kinds of talent, and AU should be reaping that talent.

We had a bit of a local AHS / OHS / Central (P.C.) discussion here a few weeks ago.

I am remiss in leaving out Montravious Pitts, small town local product (like Boobie). 2* from 2A Loachapoka if I remember correctly. I think he played some quality snaps for AU.

I saw Welch from LSU mentioned earlier in the thread. But I just saw an article from the Fly War Eagle blog that had him mentioned with two other LSU commits as possible flips. They didn't seem to really have any indicators as to what made them throw their names out other than one is from FL and one from Valdosta.

But have you heard or seen any rumblings about the possibility of flipping either:
4* LB DeMario Tolan (FL)
or
4* CB JaDarian Rhym (GA)

Could be huge to add those guys but like I said, I didn't see much to really back up the claims they would possibly flip to AU.

Rhym from the top of this page —

quote:

4* CB JaDarian Rhym (LSU commit) will visit for the OM game and should OV too, possibly for the Iron Bowl. Coaches saw him play this weekend.

Per KN/247.

quote:

According to KN/247, there’s a decent chance that Auburn will get LSU commit 4* LB Demario Tolan to a game, possibly as an official visit.

KN said later that he got a sense that Tolan was wide open now, despite his comments about committing to LSU and not Coach O.

quote:

4* DB JaDarian Rhym from Valdosta is a guy that Auburn has been recruiting very hard and may be higher on Auburn’s board than Welch. That could change if it looks like his DB coach won’t be retained. There’s also some injury concern with Welch, it sounds like.

Here’s some more on Rhym and Welch. Sounds like Welch is actually kinda down the board a bit, probably due to injury concerns

Auburn offered ‘22 JUCO DT Jeffrey M'ba

Originally from France, he’s 6’6, 305 and looks like an absolute unit. Great offers

Were we involved here? He de-committed from USC and committed to UGA like two days later.

He visited twice before flipping to UGA. KN said it was a long shot from the start

I don’t really see it as a win of any kind. He’s from Columbus and one of those visits was to see the team he was about to flip to

Montae Pitts was a big time recruit and was the starting corner opposite Carlos Rogers on the #1 defense in the nation in 2004. Quality snaps is an understatement.

4* DT Khurtiss Perry is planning on being at Auburn Saturday. He’s missed a few planned visits but Caldwell/247 essentially said he doesn’t have transportation and relies on a lot of different people for rides. Hopefully he makes it this time

Visitors list is starting to take shape. I’ll post it closer to the weekend

Tell him to start hitchhiking and I will be driving by wearing a Uga cap (threw up in my mouth a little) heading to Auburn and will just happen to be heading back towards his house after his visit.

Tell him whatever change he finds on the seat is finders keepers.

He wont get a commitable offer from bama. First, he is too far down their board. Second, he does not fit their system. They like a big burly 2gap, which they already have committed and looking hard at two more for a second spot, and tall fast outside linemen.

He is neither, even if he puts on weight from 265, the only DL at bama that is his height 6 foot 2, weighs 70 pounds more than he does.
