I often wonder about the mantra "this is a recruiting coach" and believe its overhyped. You ever see Saban speak, how about that recruiting conversation that leaked, the man makes watching paint dry exciting.
The back office is a large key to success. Of all the coaches and personnel that have promoted out, the one Saban was really pissed about was when Dabo snaked his head of recruiting, we saw how that worked out for Clemson.
We need a huge and coordinated back office to identify the pool of players we will go after years before we need to. Not option a and b but option a through z. There are another 1000 or more that bama, ohio state, clemson, dont have room for.
And no we were not doing that. Losing an in state kid to bama is understandable. Losing many of them to out of state schools seems a little remiss.
I reminded of an old fat successful businessman from Appalachia with a stunning wife. I aske how in the world, he said marry em young and get em pregnant they wont leave ya.

4* RB Damari Alston is going to try to be at A-Day Saturday. He has a track meet that morning so there’s a chance he won’t make it

The most concerning thing is that Clemson is his "dream school" and he's actively talking to them.
Either way, I like that Nick Eason is recruiting nationally and getting traction early.

I’ll say, though, that you only get 5 OVs. You don’t see kids set those at schools they’re not serious about. The article said he’s trying to pick between 5 schools for his final OVs
Eason is obviously well know in Pittsburg so that definitely is part of it

Oh for sure. If Clemson gets that 5th OV it’s probably over so hopefully that doesn’t happen.
The good news is that once we get them on campus our chances skyrocket. There’s no way he’ll come away more impressed with Penn State, Pitt, or Kentucky

Well, Clemson is "Auburn with a lake", so maybe he won't be impressed by the lake.
