JJ Evans is another. He’s about 20 LBs heavier now than high school
Worth keeping in mind about this class- Malcolm Johnson Jr already enrolled. Technically counts to the previous class but he was a major pick up

No surprise for anyone that has followed recruiting the past 2 months, but Mondon commits to UGA.
In unrelated news, LB Trevin Wallace catapults into the top 250 at #74. Auburn is thought to be in good shape with him right now

The top 247 was adjusted. No major movement for Auburn commitments, aside from Dematrius Davis. Who dropped another 14 spots.
Just a quick view on Davis:
8 games: 102/137 (74%), 1927 yards, 22 TDs, 1 IN
51 carries for 394 yards and another 9 TDs
He’s 45-2 as a starter with insane stats and his team is #2 in the country.

And they still dropped him 14 spots. But I realize that these guys jumping ahead are at all different positions.
I guess it's more important to see where he ranks in the QB list, right?

DGB was the tallest at 6’6” followed by Washington at 6’4” who actually led that team in receiving yards. Sasser, White, Copelin and Clark were all 6’2” + too. Lucas was their sole exception at 5’10”.

None of it is really important. Just baffling that Davis is performing at the highest level imaginable but his height and a bad day on QB drills have essentially eliminated him from a better rating

Would be our highest rated commit

We picked up a commitment from former Oklahoma TE Grant Calcaterra.

Doesn't make sense at all. Frazier, Fromm, Deal, Pegues, Shenker, King, and this guy? How many catches does our tight ends have this year?
Posted on 11/18/20 at 4:23 pm to jangalang
Trying to figure out when he’s eligible
Former 4*. 637 career yards, 9 TDs
Definitely a pass catcher. He’s tall, so Bo will actually target him

I mean, if you look at that list, it definitely makes sense
I mentioned this in the other thread but it’s pretty clear that Morris isn’t interested in throwing the ball to Fromm, Deal, or Shenker.
Pegues and Frazier are Morris guys. Pegues sees the field but in a HB role. Frazier is just now cleared to play. To be seen what happens with targets there now what he’s available.
It’s definitely a big group. They’re being used in the running game quite heavily. Interested to see if the targets pick up any with Frazier on the field

Well said. I hate watching Shenker run routes. Nobody takes him seriously...which actually allowed him to catch a wide open TD pass

Exactly.
When you have Seth Williams, Schwartz, Stove, and Bigsby on the field, do you want the ball going to guys like Shenker, Fromm, or Deal when you need yards?
Personally, I do not. Occasionally they’ll see something that warrants giving Shenker a target and it’s worth it but if he’s covered I don’t want him trying to make that play.
So we gotta change that equation first

We’re a month out from early NSD. A majority of recruits have signed on this day in the previous two years but COVID could change that.
This thread will be updated a bit more frequently for the next month. I don’t believe this will be a top 10 class but my guess is we’ll be around #15. The major issue is the obvious job security issues of the staff (due to the staff’s disappointing performances this season) but we also have done poorly in a Covid recruiting environment that doesn’t allow for in person or campus recruiting.
While campus sells to recruits and families quite nicely, so did the atmosphere of our program and the personalities of our coaching staff. Those components are significantly hampered by virtual-only communication. Unfortunately for Auburn, these issues will extend through at least April.

We currently have more TEs on the roster than we do DTs.

Was coming here to post that.
Again, pathetic.

Oh my, well he was a 4* OT, why did we ever get our hopes up?
Just saw Keith did as well, so long.

He’s back to a 3* in the composite, if we want to feel better
