It’s going to be interesting to see how Auburn does in state this year. It’s a talented class and Harsin and staff are in a tough spot as new coaches and no campus or in-person visits allowed

Is this for official visits? There were definitely unofficial in person visits happening last year at many schools. Not sure if they're putting their foot down on that or not.

I'd think by the time fall rolls around and vaccines are widely distributed, they'll probably allow in person official visits.

There were no official visits. Recruits could unofficially visit campuses on their own dime but could not have staff contact. Couldn’t meet with the university in any capacity while physically on campus. And coaches could not visit players

Miller just committed to Auburn.

Not 100% sure but I would guess thats all the news for today.

Etheridge had a big role in getting Miller apparently.

3 open spots left.

I saw Nathan King said, before Miller, that we had 2 spots left but I may have read that wrong or he may be wrong all together

jt33 probably has a better count than I do.

Regardless, we’re going to lose scholarship players this spring and that’s around the time we’ll be in the market for transfers as well. Should be OK numbers wise

As suspected, jt33’s number is correct.

We’re at 84 scholarships now with Miller counted for. However, 5 do not count toward the 85 because of the extra year of eligibility which gives us 6 total available scholarships. Regardless, the 25 per class rule still applies (even with transfers) which leaves us with 3 left in the 2021 class.

Grad transfers only count against the 85, though. So if we used all 3 remaining for the ‘21 class, we could use another 3 for grad transfers.

Three spots left: so that leaves room for a center, right guard and left guard.

Not sure how hard Auburn pursued but Oregon transfer QB, Tyler Shough, is headed to Texas Tech

We'll need some attrition to get 3.

I think Miller puts us at 84 on Scholly.

5 of the 84 don’t count toward the cap this season due to the extra year of eligibility

Center is the main position I want right now. Will gladly take an LT too, but C has been our weakest position on the OL for a few years now imo.

Ive read that they hope to get Council healthy and move him to center. Jones Council and Hamm could be a decent interior line

I've heard thats an option.. I've also heard Council may not play anymore. I haven't heard anything new on that in a while though. actually. Probably something worth asking the 247 staff about again.

Council got hurt late October. It’s going to be incredible if he’s ready for game one. That’s a big dude and usually they’re in for a longer recovery

I thought I heard Council could be back by spring. Could be mistaken.
