247 lists him as a TE but the highlights have him mostly in the slot or out wide. New staff offered back on the 9th

We just offered Elijah Pritchett a class of 22 4 star OT from Georgia that claims he rarely if ever heard from the last staff

Gus was an embarrassment

They’ve been offering OTs like crazy. Offered Riley Quick too. Plus some 6’9, 360lb JUCO OT

Nothing like not reaching out to a top 100 player at a position of dire need that lives less than 45 min from your campus

quote:Would take this guy just because of the school he's from. They play good football at Ware Co and I would bet on this guy plays better than a 3*. From the little I just saw of his film, He's really patient when playing the run but when he see's the hole the OL and the path to the RB he attacks it quickly. I'm curious about his speed though.. I couldn't tell much about his pass coverage.
Michael Mincey
Player to watch 2021 class. Recently decommitted from Vandy. Rumor that he has been offered.
Side note: Ware Co has a '22 QB named Thomas Castellanos and he's really good. Only a 3* on rivals right now (unranked on 247). Right now Ga Tech is probably the leader, but his recruitment is going to blow up next year. I would love if he got Mincey and had an in with him. Here's his Hudl if anyone wants to take a look. Reminds me a little of Dee Davis but with a stronger arm.

Ranked too high for Gus’ liking. He’s more of a 2* OL kind of guy
Posted on 1/15/21 at 11:14 am to jvilletiger25
Either a 2* or a 5* that we never had a chance with.
Posted on 1/15/21 at 11:21 am to jvilletiger25
I don’t think we have any 2*s
Anyway, the previous strategy was a failure but you could understand what they were trying to do by looking at the guys they targeted. After routinely striking out on more polished, highly ranked OL, the staff pivoted and focused on guys they thought had the size and athleticism needed for SEC play but had major flaws that kept them off the board of other schools. Our roster the past few seasons are mostly small school transfers, former defensive lineman, guys completely new to the OL, guys completely new to football (or completely new to the United States in general), and a handful of middle-of-the road OGs with Auburn as their best offer.

Embarrassing. Yet we load up on WRs.

Castellanos is a freak athlete. If he was two or three inches taller he would be the #1 DT QB in the nation for 2022.

Sounds like ‘22 4* TE Delp has already talked to the staff at decent length. He likes what Harsin did at Boise using TEs
Said that they used a lot of 3 TE sets and that he could be used out wide as well. Too early to tell what his interest in Auburn is. Gonna be a tough sell to one of the premier pass catching TEs in the class
Shoutout to Lanier with the scoop earlier

Don't encourage him. 7 years from now he will be drunk and bump the post talking shite.

quote:Yeah the first time I saw this stats and his film I was shocked he wasn't a high 4*. It will come though. I would love for Auburn to offer him since we most likely plan on taking 2 QBs in '22 anyway.

quote:TIL that Gustav had only one fewer of his OL recruits drafted in the past three seasons (Driscoll & Tega in '20, Smith in '18) as Tubs had in his entire 10-year AU career (McNeil in '06, Grubbs in '07, Dunlap in '08, and Ziemba in '11).

So you back on the bus?

Auburn is talking to Keaontay Ingram, transfer RB from Texas.
Former 4*, has 1800 rushing yards over 3 seasons at Texas. KN says Tank is helping recruit him

Hard to compare. Tubs was in the defensive era while Gus ushered in the offensive era.
Posted on 1/15/21 at 2:17 pm to AUCE05
Late era Tuberville offenses were pretty ineffective

Landing two of our three apparent targets at RB now would be huge.
