I have no idea, just wanting to see what you guys have in mind. I don't see Kam Martin as a every down back, more like a Omac role.

Do we really need a Depth chart? Just name the starter and that's who gets all the carries

Gus didn’t provide much information for us to give our predictions but without further ado, my educated guess:
- Boobie Whitlow will be number one. He shares the honor of being named after Boobie Miles after all.
-Barrett could have been number one but I don’t see Gus doing 22 RB swing passes a game. So he is number two.
-Martin can be number three if we teach him to do steroids correctly.
-Asa can be number 4 since he’s new
-Miller can be number five since he’s been mostly irrelevant thus far.

We dont need a depth chart, just pick one and let him tote it 40 times a game until broken then next man up. Barrett probably gets on the field for a couple of 1st down plays for swing passes for 3yds or so.

GM won't know until the 3rd or 4th game, so how would I know? lol.

I think it's going to be Barrett or Asa Martin, finally being THE go to RB...

KM is too little to be an every down back. Miller really hasnt shown me any spark that you want to see when a RB runs.

Whitlow is the Ace in the hole. Everyone raved about him at Bowl practice, but without seeing him, who knows.

The worry is that GM will do it by committee, and we will not have any RB personality, and it will cost us in an important game...

We might have Trayvon McMillian from VT transfer in. He is 6-1 205...

At least to start the season:

1a: Barrett
1b: Martin
3: Whitlow
4: Miller
5: Martin
RS: Shivers

I think Asa Martin will move up fairly quickly though. And despite redshirting to put on weight, I think Shivers could end up having a more special career than any of the other 5.

Honest question...do we have one that when they break into the 2nd level they will run away from defenders? Seems like it has been a while.

Why? The last time Auburn had a starting freshman RB was 2010 with Mike Dyer. I'd say that turned out pretty well.

Recruiting pitch to possible RBs: If you are the number one guy, you will carry the rock 43 times a game. When you are beaten to crap we will throw a wide receiver screen and you will get back in. When you are draft eligible, you will have PTSD and start riding 4 wheelers down busy city streets. Welcome to Auburn. War Eagle.
