As in immediately and they aren't coaching the bowl game?

I would imagine anytime there's a coaching change before bowl game, coaches will have their attention focused elsewhere no matter what their future looks like.

EDIT - Just read that Frost might even coach the bowl game.

I already told y'all about this game. You need to just forget about it and focus on something else

Heard his interview earlier today on Sirius. He said he wanted to coach the game, but all parties would have to agree to it. So, there is the potential he doesn't.

I think he is going to coach the game. If Nebraska didn't want him to, they would have easily already said No...so probably telling him he can do some, but must do somethings he needs to do for them too.

He probably is relying a lot on his staff..but in the end he will be on the sideline..against us..

Feel really bad for the UCF players. They've been treated like shite.

Actually, they haven't. Coach Forst has been a class act and his UCF players still love him and are totally behind him, unlike Fisher who pissed everyone off.

Didn't say they were treated badly by outgoing coaches. Instead of celebrating their conference title and undefeated season, they knew their coach was gone immediately following the game. Now they still don't know who their coaches are going to be in the bowl game they're so excited about.

Then get their asses kicked up and down the turf at the new Stadium by the undefeated killers. Tough year for them

Yeah, the UCF coaching staff for the bowl is still up in the air... sounds to me like they still haven't made a decision who is going to be in charge, the new head coach (former Oklahoma QB Josh Heupel) or the old head coach (former Nebraska QB Scott Frost). Also it seems like the UCF offensive coordinator under Frost, Troy Walters, is "acting" head coach, so that whole situation is a mess down there and it would seem like they would have had those lines of communication and chains of command figured out by now.

On, and FYI to everyone, Heupels first hire was former Miami head coach Randy Shannon as his defensive coordinator.

If I were a UCF fan or player, I would be extremely pissed off. Taking the entire staff and abandoning those kids. frick Scott Frost.

I don't think he took his OC since the OC was named the "acting" head coach, but I could be wrong and maybe Frost changed his mind.

The article I read said that the OC was very popular with the players so maybe, if Frost didn't take him to Nebraska, Heupel will keep him on.

Pretty sure that when Auburn hired Gus at the end of the 2012 season, he came right away with whatever coaches he wanted to bring from Arky State (if any, don't remember) and didn't coach them in their bowl game.

All I know is that the next time Auburn does a coaching hire, if whoever we hire is leading a team that is headed to a minor conference championship game or a bowl game, I want that coach to be on the job Day One and *not* some nebulous time later. I want him to be working for Auburn and only thinking of Auburn. Is that tough for the team that the coach is leaving? Sure is. But, in general, when Auburn hires a coach from another team like that, Auburn is paying the buy-out. That money buys Auburn the right to have their coach RIGHT AWAY.
