Just picked up a new baitcasting rod and the foam grip is a little too ‘thin’ for my liking. Is there a method or product available that I can use to increase the grip thickness?

Thanks!

There was a fishing rod specific tape a few years back, but I haven't seen it around in a while. Also haven't looked for it. But the bat tape will do just fine, and there's different thicknesses and as many patterns as you could want.

Just make sure you clean the surface with alcohol before you apply it.

Sorry, I was on a different planet last night,

Winn grip makes some over grips for fishing that are pretty nice. Seems to be the thing these days. There is also make some basic rod grip wrap like for tennis rackets

The winn grips are great, especially if your hands are wet.
