Couple things...Coynis Miller got fat, Bo Nix > Errbody

ETA: Also appears that Whitlow lost some weight which should only make him better

Sorry, yeah, let me join in on the mindless arguing about Gus’s contract, since that’s so much more fruitful

Might be a product of being healthy and able to fully participate in workouts and conditioning. I like that he’s a big back, though.

From the other thread:

quote:

Other notes:

- Gus wants to focus on tempo again
- Devan Barrett staying at corner, Joiner at RB
- Cadillac’s job to determine RB depth chart
- scrimmages the next 2 Saturday’s
- every QB to start the spring on equal reps
- M/W/F/S practice schedule the next 4 weeks

+ Shivers & Schwartz will miss the spring due to track and field and they’re expected to make up for it over the summer

We are going to be super thin at DT this year. I knew this, but watching the DL drill it just hit me again.

Hope Nix lives up to the hype. This is the year a true freshman might be get a shot.

Should be an interesting QB battle.

I dont even know at this point who I want to win the job.

Each has a story that could be good for us. Nix is young and it would be great to have a 3 year or possibly a 4 year starter. Gatewood looks big and has a year under his belt. Willis is a sentimental favorite for me and I like his possible up side.

Cord Sandberg seems to be the odd man for me. No idea what he brings and how he would fit in

I dont even know who the other guy is.

I think we're fine there. We only lost Andrew Williams, Russell, & Johnson right?

Coynis Miller and Newkirk should get a lot of PT. Newkirk stays banged up tho during his brief time here. Coynis looks like he's been hibernating

Nix is very young and isn’t what Gus needs in his make or break season. He needs a playmaker right off the bat.
Going to have to be Gatewood.

I could see Gus going to a 2 QB system between Nix/Gatewood. When he wants to pound it use Joey and when he wants to sling them stupid little screens and bubbles use Bo. That would be a total Gus move IMO.

I ain’t griping heck it may even work, Joey’s used to a 2 QB system from HS. Bo wouldn’t have all the pressure on him either.

It should be Joey Gatewood or Bo Nix.

If it’s Malik Willis, Gus isn’t even trying. He either needs to ride the pine or change positions.

I don’t even think Cord Sandberg has a shot at starter, really.

Can't wait to see Joey take over the offense this year.

It won't be Malik. You can rest easy now.
