This is almost a Chizik situation where I would like baseball not to make NCAAs just to ensure Jacobs doesn't have anything to point to when his inevitable job review comes

Jacobs survived this past years AU sports shite show, so I don't think baseball is going to get him fired either.

and the fact was last year we were the defending national champions. I don't have a 'deal', i'm just pointing out that hindsight is always 20/20.

Hoping for our teams to lose is far-sighted?
I guess if Gus can somehow come up with a 7 or 8 win season this Fall, you "far sighted" people are gonna have a heart attack.

Taking off of work to go to the SEC Tournament like I do every year. Hopefully the match ups hold and we get Alabama on the first day. That is most definitely an SEC Tournament dream match up.

I'm reading where our RPI wont matter as much this year due to where we finish in our division, the amount of SEC teams with a strong RPI, and our non-conference schedule. Our non-conf will hurt us even if it doesnt show in the RPI rankings. We definitely need to win against Arky plus two in the tourney.

It's apparently not as far fetched as most of us think. I found 5 projections and 3 of them had us in the tourney. 1 had us the 1st team out. 4 projections were yesterday before the loss to Jax St. The projection that came out today had us in and in NC State's regional. Getting 2 from Arky and beating Bama in the first round of the SEC tourney may be enough to get us in after all.
