Literally the first line of the article on 247 says the new OC will not call plays
It's literally said Chip was calling plays at certain points before too. Didn't mean we didn't speculate

Good read on Kenny Dillingham
quote:
“We’ve been able to go on this journey together. I wouldn’t trust just anybody coaching quarterbacks,” Norvell said. “I’m always going to be involved with the quarterback. I’m there to support. But it gives me so much freedom to be able to go to other meetings, to be in different places, because we do think the same. That definitely puts me at a state of peace.”

Gus will be calling the plays. Prepare thy anus for twirlybirds and whirlybirds and dive runs up the middle for 1 yard after a first down.
Now that is funny.

I like that Gus will live and die by his own stubbornness. Would love to see him succeed for Auburn but totally expect a shitshow.

Most of the shitshow you saw last year was Chip calling off Gus playbook. The Arkansas game told me all I ever need to know about Screen Pass Lindsey.

Same. Malzahn knows he couldn't live with himself if he went out not knowing if he could have produced more on offense and not gotten fired. His big time career is dead if he fails again. Surely anybody can respect that.

Good news for Gus is that an incompetent moron gave him 32 million dollars. So even if he fails he is set for life.
But I don't blame him for taking control of the offense. It was why he was hired. Don't get fired letting someone else run your offense. Go out guns blazing.

Are you serious.... what a joke... you’re witnessing self imposed probation via idiotic decision making per our gloriously inept HC and the idiotic horticulturalist we had forced on us as AU President

Heaven help us because in Gus we trust.
PTB (passed the ball) on this one, them boys hiring an OC instead of firing a coach is all I need to know about football and the creed on the plains. Shitty money men are as much at fault as the lame administration that allows such. They promised big money if their meddling got us shitted upon; then whelched when the turd remained the same. At this point they're as much a problem, with the their meddling, as having a lame duck coach that's already had the game pass him by. For the cost of these coordinators alone Auburn could have gotten a whole n'other staff that might do better than going 7 again.
Well, at least there's basketball, then baseball, and then a long needed break till those two start up again.

At least an OC before early signing day?

Maybe... we’ve got bigger problems than I initially thought... BOT has botched our presidential hire and refuses to acknowledge its mistake in the CGM contract. We’re going to have Shulaesque years in front of us for the future

Agree. The glaring problem, even more than the OC, is it appears Gus doesn't have a QB on his roster to run his offense.
Maybe Cord is the guy.

"We"
Your dumbass hasn't touched foot on the Auburn campus. Please leave the board with your SJW whiny arse comments. Everyone has gotten their fill for the last two weeks. We're over it.

That a fact? Want to further discuss/elaborate your thoughts face to face in Nashville? I’ll gladly see you there, Acme, 12/27 7-10 pm... it’s the AU alumni club event for the MCB.
