So, you're telling me there's a chance Chiz got fired? Yes!!!

I don't think that it is unusual under Chiz. But, if you lose by 40+ at home and you have a decent coach that demands accountability and respect... Very unusual.

Practices are regulated. Therefor, Auburn cannot simply just add as many practice hours into the week as Auburn wants.
So, in the scenario you created, it's still not unusual unless you're suggesting Auburn practice on Sunday instead of Monday, or whatever. Some teams do that, but our athletes have been conditioned all season to have this buffer day off to recover. Week 9 or whatever week we are in is probably not an appropriate time to start switching practice days around.

Unless something has changed, Sundays have always been meeting and recovery days. Come in, let the trainers work on the guys who are banged up, watch film, etc.

CHizik has been giving them Monday's off for the past 3 weeks. Why? I don't know, but they need to be practicing.
