Anyone ever actually see Nick Marshall and Coach Craig in the same place at the same time?

fricking shite, I thought that was a mugshot when this page first loaded. Didn't see DC pic underneath it. Heart dropped for a sec.

I'm cool with DC taking snaps

We should be real good for the first 6 games. The CDC age will catch up with him and we fade fast.

Craig was a one man wrecking crew back in the day.
His single game record of 588 yards may never be broken by any AU player.

Craig's single game yard record

In that case it was not a matter of Cam could not do it. The run game was so good he did not need to do it. Dameyune in Gus's offense would have been sick.

Meh. I loved DC during his time at AU, but I doubt he would have ever put up the kind of numbers game in and game out in Gustav's offense that Cam did in 2010.
The 400+ yards total offense and 6 TDs on 31 plays in the SEC Championship >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 445 yards and 3 TDs on 55 plays against a service academy in Shreveport (in a game we deserved to lose).
BTW - where did you get the idea that DC gained 558 yards in a single game? or was that a really bad typo?

Craig played quarterback at Auburn from 1994-97, where he still holds numerous Auburn passing records, including completions (216) and passing yards (3,227) in a season as well as a single-game record for most net yards gained (445 vs. Army in 1996; 75 rush, 370 pass).

He must have imposed the video game stats he put up using Dameyune when he was a kid to thinking they were real.

Although it may be true DC wouldn't out do what Cam did. I still think DC would have done very well in that offense. I loved watching him play the game.

ETA: Nevermind, my mistake. It was a team record on the wiki page for DC.
quote:
He was named Auburn's starting quarterback for the 1996 and 1997 seasons. He led Auburn to victory over Army in the Independence Bowl in 1996; including setting Auburn offensive team record of 588 total yards in a 62-0 victory over Fresno State. He also prevailed in bowl victory over Clemson University in the Peach Bowl in 1997. In that ten-win senior season, he also led the Tigers to the SEC Western Division title and a berth in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta. Despite a strong performance by Craig, Auburn lost the game to Peyton Manning's highly favored Tennessee Volunteers, 30-29.

Its cool. The school athletics site does a great job of keeping stats from the 96 and 97 seasons. LINK
