Would you ever be in favor of it being the 2nd to last game?
Im not that serious but I bet after last night the thought crossed Sabans mind that it'd been nice to rest Tua.
It would have helped us last year as you go into a meat grinder IB because most every east team except Florida (traditionally) gets cupcake warmup with a low threat of injuries.
Or watch Saban lobby for no sec championship, it's not 25 years ago and we no longer need the attention to get into a two team national championship.

We used to do that, but it eliminated the bye week.
Get rid of the conference championship and go to an 8 team playoff which is played two weeks after the IB.

Are you insane?
Yeah, lets give “committees” and “polls” even more opportunities to prove their undying love for their Traditional Golden Boys, that would fix everything.
Why don’t we just pen in Bama, UGA, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, and Notre Dame right now? We can keep Penn State, Clemson, FSU, and Miami in reserve as needed.

Horrendous idea imo. I saw Saban lobbying this idea.
It would be Bama's, Norte Dame, Ohio State's, etc of the college football world.

We’d get an extra 4 teams that don’t belong in the playoffs. No thanks.

The SEC must mandate equitable scheduling. All teams should be required to end the season with conference games. The SECe/ACC rivalries can play their gane whenever they would like other than end of season.
Our schedule was built in a time before seccg and cfb playoffs. Revisiting would do no harm.

Also move all interdivisional games (like DSOR) up into October. Don't need to play the same team twice in three weeks.

Well most of those teams are winning and beating us so not sure why the hate?!?
South Carolina plays Clemson
Florida has FSU
UGa has GTech (maybe they’ll be better going forward)
Not much to gripe about there...

I keep seeing this floated around but with no answer as to how you crown a conference champion. You would have to eliminate divisions, but then for the SEC there's no way for the 14 teams to all play each other.
So what gives? Two teams go undefeated and have no match up that is head to head...who wins? The one voted higher by committees outside of the conference?

I don’t care as long as we move the AU/UGA game to earlier in the year. Right now our schedule is set up awful especially on the even years.

And get rid of our cupcake between UGA and Bama?
No thanks. Have to get to the SECCG before you schedule a rest for it
