Looking ahead to next years team

2 deep IMO based on today's roster/recruits
QB Gatewood
RB Whitlow/Shivers
HB/TE Joiner
WR Williams
WR Slayton/Hastings
WR Schwartz/Stove
LT Driscoll
LG Harrell
C Kim
RG Horton
RT Troxell
Defense
DE Coe/Davidson
DT Miller/Truesdell
LB Britt/McClain/Pappoe
DBs Noah/Tutt
Nickel Dinson/Peters
Safeties Monday/Thomas
The skill position on offensive is probably the best based on talent that Gus has ever had. I really think the Oline will be better nxt season. The only question is can the QB Gatewood/Willis or maybe a grad transfer. If the QB plays above average the offense should be great. The defense is going to take a step back the DT position is in bad shape were going to have to play some guys like Moultry/Davidson on the inside
Schedule
Could easily start the year 2-2 which would be the being of the end with a bowl game being in question at that point. If they beat Oregon & A&M the hype will start. I will go with 8-4

We are going to get almost no pressure from rushing 4 next year. Going to need bring extra guys which means we’re glkng to give up a lot of big pass plays. The Mischamp DL guys are all gone

So just like this season? Need to stop recruiting just one edge rusher per year.

This is the toughest 3-game stretch, but I think all things considered, the schedule is spaced out pretty evenly. That's a welcome change, and we have Bama and UGa at home.

I'd expect us to get better pressure next season than we did this season. Stopping the run may be an issue though.

Oregon’s DC Jim Leavitt is legit... would be nice if he moved on after this season.

Add Derrick Hall and Colby Wooden from this years class to that group too.
Also I think Newkirk is going to push for a starting spot at DT. Garner has recruited good along the DL so I'm not too worried.

If there was a better Oline and HC coming back, I'd be very enthusiastic at the possibility of a playoff run. All the pieces are there, except those 2 things.

I think he is one that will surpise, poor guy has been riddled with injuries, like to see him healthy to see what he can do.

I don't know guys, there really isn't one area of the team I'm really confident in next year outside of maybe WR. Add that to our schedule and I think 8 wins is doing pretty well, 9 tops.
