If we do conference only, it would be sweat to play the entire conference.

I'm fine with no Big12 games too. No interest in weird games vs TAMU or Mizz

Only the ACC would do something that stupid, and Im sure Clemson will get the 5 easiest ACC teams.

There's never been 8 teams deserving a playoff shot at season's end much less 16. No thanks.

well establishing who the best teams are is already difficult with a full 13 week long sample size worth of games including marquee OOC games to help gauge conference strength.

We will be getting less games and no OOC, so expanding the playoff makes a lot of sense if they even get to play it at all.

Dont think they would but this would be a great year to go to 8 team playoff (no way they jump straight to 16). Do 5 P5 champs, top ranked G5 champ and 2 top rank at large teams.

Committee is downplaying the difficulty in picking a champ when no OOC play. You are judging in your own conference bubble.

Bias will come into play even more so now

I think the only sure thing is that CFB will be forever changed.

I still contend that many smaller, less profitable schools (including some in P5 conferences) will either drop to a lower classification or give up football completely.

Plus, there will likely never be a reliable vaccine for COVID, and there will always be a risk associated with large gatherings of strangers. So crowds will be sparse from now on, even without mandated social distancing.

The whole facade of big-time, high-dollar college sports is collapsing. It will be interesting to see if it survives, and in what form.

I think it’s over tbh, we just haven’t accepted it yet.

Colleges as a whole better watch out. The student loan situation was always unsustainable but nobody is going to enjoy shelling out 20k+/year for zoom meetings and zero extracurricular activities. You can just go find some lecture series on YouTube and fulfill the same purpose.

I think our ideas of what college looks like might be drastically changing and soon.

Perhaps.

I'm sure there were folks who thought everything would go back to normal after 9/11.

OOC games aren't needed. If the conferences play 10 conference game (All different opponents ACC) then that would be enough info to wittle it down to no more than 8 deserving teams.

Why is us traveling to Missouri or A&M any better than playing OOC games at GT, FSU, or a South Alabama or Samford? The traveling is more for conference only. Seems it would make sense to have teams reschedule for bordering states. I know that’s difficult to do though.

They should just play an SEC round robin starting week of 8/22, ending week of 11/14. No bye weeks. Play the games in Nashville, JVille, NO, and ATL over the weekend Thu, Fri, and Sat.

That would be fun.

Good luck trying to decide who the 5 teams you play are? Seems like some teams are going to have favorable matchups where other's will be a killer.

Supposedly uniformity of conference rules & standards regarding the Rona. Plus it's not known if the G5 school has the income to do the amount of testing the big schools can.
