Seems that Alabama has a better kicker than Auburn does this year.

Carlson is 6/12
Bama's kicker is 4/7

Bama isn't asking their kicker to kick majority 50+ yard field goals

Correct, and I didn't realize it until earlier when I heard them on the radio say that...5/6 from less than 50, 1/6 from 50+

then maybe we should stop trying to kick 50+ and start going for it on 4th down.

I believe Carlson is like 6/7 for FG under 50 yards (may be 40?).

I'm game. OR we could use that legit punter that we now have to pin folks deep...

Yep. Actually put our defense in good situations for a change.

Do we have to talk about Fredo Carlson?

Also, let's ban kicking from football.

In an Auburn centric view, I wouldn't like this. Auburn in the past decade has been elite at FG kicking relative to CFB

We will start trying to pin them deep more often. Asking too much of our kicker and need to protect the defense.. Saw that in an article this week.

Carlson is deadly inside of 50. I believe the accuracy over 50 will come around.

He’s a freshman. That will come once he overcomes the jitters of youth. Truth be told, he’s only really had one awful kick. The short FG in the opener.

Yeah, I don't actually want to ban kicking.. but it drives me crazy that these goofy, non-athletes (most of the time) wield the ability to win or lose hard fought games by some of the best athletes in the world.

How athletic do you thinking Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are?

Everybody has a different definition of athleticism.. for me a massive component of athleticism is coordination. Kickers are mostly uncoordinated dorks. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are peak coordination.. even if they aren't super athletic in, say, the olympic track and field sense
