Without his dedication and leadership, we would never have Bruce Pearl as our head coach and would never have won the SEC Tournament without him

Jay did a good job there. He knew much of the fanbase wanted Pearl and he made it happen. Same for when he went and got Muschamp. Jay wasn’t a horrible AD.

He gave us two solid hires before he left in Bruce and Butch. For that and for getting Auburn Arena built, I will give Jacobs the credit he deserves. But I will still never forgive that unqualified country bumpkin for ruining our swimming & diving program.
So glad to have Allen Greene now. It was awesome seeing him on the court after the game celebrating with Bruce and the team

Name a single SEC team that has had a year in the red in traffic last decade thanks to the AD?
Also Jacobs hired Barbee. Getting Pearl was like Mal Moore getting Saban. Things beyond his control lined up a time the right time.

You can’t give him all the credit for hiring Barbee but no credit for hiring Pearl
