My new coworker is HCGM doppelganger. legit only difference is he has a mole on his lip.

Debating making him wear AU gear and tell me how practice is going. He said he would do it after i showed him pictures to prove they're twins.

Part of the gentrification crowd of old school Denver huh? kidding

A lot of history in those old areas.

Just to the East of you is good ole Five Points one of the oldest areas of Denver. There was a time when you heard nothing but bad in that part of town. It was one of the "do not go there, ever!" areas.

The growth and face lift of the city in those areas is good because it really is a cool city. Do you take advantage of going to Rockies games close by jones?

I agree, Winters in Denver are not bad at all and the sun shines after big snows and the cities, counties, and state do a pretty good job of removal. If you don't like cold then you don't like cold, but I love Colorado.

I love the mountains and the beach equally, but I prefer cold more than hot. I can layer up and get warm while working, but I am limited in what I can do to cool down.

Glad you had fun Lanier and got in those hikes. You should see Estes Park and RMNP when the Bulls start rounding up da ladies. Close encounters daily. Look forward to seeing the travel report Monday. Safe travels on your return.

Why does every city in the US have an area with an interesting history called 5 points? Birmingham has two, 5 points south and 5 points west, and they both have interesting histories that make the Baptists raise an eyebrow

yea, its very similar to how I imagined it to be. Lots of odd people but they are have been extremely pleasant. Lots of hippies but they seem to keep to themselves. Every woman out here is very "sporty", good shape and wears tight black yoga style pants. Its like they give those things away or something.

...attitudes are different but good. I mostly go out west to paddle whitewater and it's surprising how uninhibited people are, wet clothes off in an instant and hop into dry before most women around here can find a door to hide behind. Same with hot springs where clothing is generally optional if they're not roadside.

Most places in the mountains everyone seemed like good ole boys from around here, but not hung up on being overtly friendly. If you speak first a down south drawl is instant karma - stretch it - for full effect. Last time spent 5 and 1/2 months solo, was in-between jobs with two whitewater canoes, climbing gear, and a backpack following snow melt (runoff) from Arizona to Idaho. Of course no cowboy hat and boots does get you noticed but a pickup truck with Bama plates and a AU hat went a long way.

I’m definitely part of the problem here

I go to 4-5 Rockies games a month. My friend’s employer has 15 club level seats near the press boxes. Crazy thing is that he works at a place of 200 or so and it’s first come, first serve. But nobody wants weekday games. Which is ridiculous because weekdays and sundays are the best days to go.

Both sides of the isle in Colorado are pretty big on live and let live. Conservatives and liberals here are generally not interested in national narratives.

Immigration can be a hot button topic since Denver is a sactuary city but generally your party here has mostly to do with your thoughts on conservation, energy, and taxes. First place I’ve lived that people didn’t fundamentally disagree on bullshite. I think voter registration is equal parts independent, Republican, and Democrat.

It is easy to do that when you dont have the issues that a lot of the country has. Especially the south.

Its like all the old white people around Birmingham that told everybody my age to stay away from Southside while we were growing up, now we all live there
