SEC regular season champs in football and basketball. Baseball is killing it so far.
So can we expect the same choke job from the baseball team?

Sure. Hopefully next year is the year of the postseason.

If we win the regular season in baseball I'll be fine with a choke job in post season play

I cannot complain about the direction of our athletic department as a whole. Pretty damn impressive....the regular seasons that is.

Did you forget Gus' postseason record? Is itall of the sudden going to improve? Birmingham Bowl champs and that's it, he has earned every penny of that $49 million contract.

Better than not even MAKING IT to these big games. 2 SEC title games, 3 NY6 bowl games in 5 years? Sign me up.
Sure I'd like to see him win more of those games, but hell there are about 120 other programs that would KILL to be us.

As Auburn fans we are unfortunately conditioned not to expect sustained success. Maybe it's the reason we can't enjoy the success of a season if we don't win a championship at the higher level.
Building a championship program involves getting close and failing before finding success generally. I would prefer to have done better in the post season, but will wait to pass judgment if we can build upon it.

Literally every team but like 4 would kill to have had the season we had in football.
Bball season was fricking awesome. We went from never before having anyone talk about our bball team, to being on the map and probably going to be one of the best returning teams.

Most combined wins in football and basketball in school history right?

We've limped to the finish line in both sports.
Imagine if KJ and KP are healthy for the postseason...
Imagine 6'7 McLemore, 6'7 Purifoy and 6'11 Wiley for the Postseason....
Both ran out of gas

Maybe I am posibarnering too hard but it feels like both football & basketball success this past season weren't flashes in pans either. Like maybe we are finally taking some real steps to being consistent contenders in both
But this is AU athletics so I am sure somehow both will crater next year only to win championships shortly after
