Based on past history I would imagine you’re the type that invites people to go boating at the lake but make them watch from shore.

Thinking I might just tell Kate Ivey to frick on off and go fish my tourney tomorrow anyway. This has gotten beyond ridiculous now.

The order is ridiculous. She actually EXPANDED the amount of "essential" services and things compared to the prior less restrictive order.

It makes no sense. It's a "shelter in place" but only for those nonessentials listed

Actually I rarely invite anyone on my boat. My family is enough. I don’t like being a driver for novice wakeboarders that can’t get on plane over and over and over again.

Damn :( I just want one week off so I can catch up on stuff around the house and get a little rest. That's all I want

My job is "essential" but it's not really in the grand scheme of things. I was surprised to find out we were even considered essential in the first place

How yall doing?

Interesting times. We have used a local guy with a lawn service for the last couple of years. Recently he has had problems with keeping any staff. He told me his crew went to lunch on monday and literally disappeared. never came back. he's been trying to do all the yards in his book on his own.

Meantime, my yard looks like a bush hog is gonna be needed to cut it. Figuring that the state is going to shut down any movement by anybody, we went and bought a mower today. Not intending to take the work away from the local guy, but he cant get to us now. So, we'll just go back to the old way of doing it.

First world problems.

We have a multi-level deck that wraps around the back of our house and pool. (took 17 gallons of paint to paint that fricker last time we had it done.)

I like telling people I have a really big deck.

Essential just means you can get paid to catch the corona. It’s not that we value you or your job.

And that's why I'd love to get some hazard pay added onto my check for all this.

If they try and reduce my salary like I've heard has happened at some companies then I'll riot

Just finished working...now we are at home and have been working from home for the past two weeks, I have put in longer hours and have worked every weekend. Have to go in on Sunday to do some network stuff with my guys. The extending of this tax season is grueling for us because it shortens our work season to get all of the stuff we couldn't do during tax season and things are starting to overwhelm my teams. Still pretty busy. Some folks at work got the virus but they won't tell us who or when so we can get checked. This lockdown order sucks down here as we still people doing stupid things...

Lanier thought about moving your business down here and still buying on the island? A lot of people you could hire down here....

I have thought about bringing it with me and I could but I really dont want to. For the most part, I work 12-14 hours every day. I am a very obsessive person as well. Very particular about the products we send out. So much that having someone else do it or help in a huge way would probably not be a good thing for me.

I went from Engineering to guiding to Tackle Business/Guiding over the past 30 years. At every one of those jobs, I have over worked myself. I honestly just need to slow down some if I want to live past 55. I am running myself into the ground and the reason for the move and selling the business is so I and my wife can go to a 2-3 day work week and something that I can leave in 8 hours or so

As much as this slow down has hurt my business, I honestly needed the slow down. I mean, it is not even 5:00am right now and I am leaving the house to deliver 4 tackle orders to local stores and take more orders. I should be in bed

Anything more annoying than clowns not using all the lanes in the boat launch? Drives me insane.
