How in the hell are we in the top 10?

Primarily, because they don’t watch the games. We started off ranked and beat the same Washington team that just stomped BYU by 28 though. BYU has beaten Wisconsin already. Plus, we have a respectable loss to a top 5 LSU team.
Don’t worry though, if we keep playing like this in SEC play, the rankings will be adjusted with a quickness.

This is why these kinds of rankings are dumb - it doesn’t matter how good you are it only matters if you win or lose. My guess is none of the voters actually watched the game but instead just saw the score.

Because we might suck, but so does everybody else not named Bama. They've hoarded all the talent and ruined CFB

Yeah, there’s insufficient evidence for most of the non top 10 this season.
We’re in the top 25 because we’ve beat the current #10 and our only loss is to the current #5.
On top of that, we might still be better than the bottom half of the 25 still because all of those teams also have broken units

Not to fear, the drop is coming. this is a 7-5 team. I dont see us beating TAMU, UGA, BAMA or MSU. Maybe 8-4. That is unless the offense somehow finds Jesus. Weirder Auburn things have happened especially with Malzahn teams.

What team below us has a great case for being ranked above us? There are MAYBE 2 teams you could convince me on. All things considered, we are 4-1, and are likely to be favored in all of our next 4 games. Could be 8-1 headed into Amen Corner with a chance at everything. Not like we have 4 scrimmages coming up either though, but we can find our stride.
