How crazy is it that we're in playoff contention in Nov and want to fire our HC?

Not saying it's wrong that we want to fire him but you have to admit it's pretty weird

Been thinking this

But I think part of it is that he is good at getting us right here and then consistently (if this season plays out) ending at 8-5, right?

We are Auburn. We figure out ways to screw shite up all of the time. It's what we do best.

2014: Heading into the UGA game, 7-2 and ranked #9 in CFP... Finished 8-5.

2016: Heading into the UGA game, 7-2 and ranked #9 in CFP... Finished 8-5.

It’s not that weird when you go 2-4 or 3-4 (including bowl games) in the last part of the season

It's kinda the same thing with uga and Smart. Yeah he is killing recruiting and it makes me jealous, but they haven't played ANYBODY but early ND.. both teams are where they are because of easy competition. The next few weeks will tell the tell

Difference is we were injured those years. For the first time since 2013, we are coming into amen corner somewhat healthy

Wish Pettway was available.

Most of us simply don’t believe in Gus anymore.

It's not weird when you consider the likely impending losses.

If we finish 8-5, you'll remember why. It's been the same song and dance in 2014 and 2016.

That being said, hope springs eternal. Let's do this.

Four out of five years Gus has been here he's had us in position to make some noise at end of season which is worth something

But he's gotta show he can finish or it doesn't matter. This is best spot AU has been in since 2013 with a legit defense and healthy QB. He should win one of UGA/BAMA but I won't really believe until he does it

Take baseball as an anology...

Gus is like a routine fly out. He can never catch it to end the at bat vs. Someone like The Big Hurt; to which he then hits a grand slam

I am just as frustrated with
Gus' drama as the next guy. But I believe that if we fire him, the likelihood of us ending up worse (Florida and Tennessee say hello) is greater than us getting better. No proven, slam-dunk coach in their right mind is going to want to come here. Why? Sure, we're a good program. But as long as Kirby is at GA, and the rest of the East is largely in ruins, we have the hardest road to the playoffs of any team in the country.

Gus' press conferences, sitting on a lead, and often predictable playcalling make me want to punch kittens. But he recruits well, has ran a clean program, and has shown a willingness to make necessary changes. We have the best defense of my lifetime. We're alive in November.

Now, if you want to fire Herb Hand, I'm fine with it. And for the love of God, do something about special teams.

Injuries and/or poor QB/defense have been a factor in most of these big games as well. This year we’re relatively healthy and we have a very good QB and defense. This is the most complete team we’ve had since 2006.

The last two years we played without a QB. Jeremy Johnson kept better QBs from coming here due to his hype and he was a dud. I really don’t blame Gus for that.

Some people know very little about Football. Therefore, you have the hate towards Gus. Less just call them - uneducated and likely never played anything other than Xbox.

I've been getting ripped by the family on here for not being on the Gus Bus for this reason.

Have you seen Georgia's current and future roster at QB?
