Talking about Gus to Arkansas. He says he doesn't know if Gus is leaving but he "sees the draw" for Gus to get out of the pressure cooker of Auburn. Says no one wants to coach opposite of Saban, so taking a job to get away from him might be ideal for some coaches.

I don't buy it. If a coach thinks this way, I wouldn't want him. I mean as a coach wouldn't you want to be at a school with better resources up against tough competition as opposed to a school with lesser resources that might not be up against the same?

But really the whole argument makes no sense because Arky plays the same schedule as AU anyway. I mean, you are against Saban there too. And Arky's recruiting base is far, far worse. Even with Saban in the same state, it's easier to recruit to AU.

Basically, Nutt talking nonsense. But if he is right and Gus really wants the "easy road" then I say good riddance.

Gus has said being able to compete for championships is why he loves Auburn. I expect that has not changed. He gets an extension and raise from Auburn and will call Auburn home for a few more years after the SECCG victory.

Why do so many people ignore the issue of Kristi’s aging parents and her desire to go back to Arkansas. I work with a girl who was sorority sisters with one of Malzahn’s daughters and she said his girls love him and he’s a great dad. From all accounts he’s a true family man.

Not directed just at you but comments on Facebook and The Bunker.

I don't see what's wrong with Gus wanting to go home, if that's the case. If he wants to reset his clock and coach at a school that means a lot to him and his family

This is what I keep hearing as well which I actually find commendable. He has no time to hob knob with boosters and would rather be with the fam. I like it.

Hell, if they want a damn politician and hob knobber then hire Tubs back now that Jacobs is gone

Good-good. Gus has success against Saban’s D. Hope they keep talking him wanted to run away.

Gus runs to Arky.

Auburn hires Chad Morris and keeps Steele at DC.

Clemson loses Morris.

Sounds like a win-win-win.

If Gus took that gig, Kristi would without a doubt be the predominant reason. She’s the one that can’t stand the pressure cooker atmosphere.

I cant imagine how much it has to suck being in that position personally. Especially in the state of Alabama.

Kristi wants to go back, but the daughters do not. Gus knew 8-4 would get him fired. He started discussions.
