Good. It's worth missing one recruit to get a better OL coach. We can fill the gaps next year with transfers. Good riddance HH.

I got mixed feelings. I do think Hand got fricked some by shitty OT recruiting under JB Grimes but hard to not feel like he sucked at finding the right 5. Very interested to see who Gus targets

Just wish he would’ve waited 3 weeks

This

Seriously think we were gonna land Gouraige. Don't see that happening now.... KN made an interesting suggestion that AU might target Mizzou's Brad Davis who was originally at UF. Would be a guy that is already close with Gouraige & Barnes

Interested to see how quick Gus moves on the next hire.

Anyone know of any legit targets Gus may go after?

Also once again I like how none of AU's reporters had this news. It amazes me how often our guys gets scooped

Considering their relationship, I'm sure Gus has known for a while. I wonder how soon we'll hear something (from the Bama insiders, of course).

Damn, WTF, his lines were getting Hackenburg killed at Penn St., he came here and we have looked like crap on the O line. Now off to Texas. At this rate he will be with the Patriots in 3 years. Hell I would take JB Grimes back in a heartbeat.

Anyone have an idea if he was told to look or did this on his own? It would surprise me either way since he and his family seemed to like Auburn and his and Gus' relationship.

I'd hire him as an off the field analyst. He doesn't need to recruit, just coach

He's sucked pretty much everywhere. I'm glad he's gone.

Marcello says this news isn't completely unexpected & that Gus was looking at possible replacements back in December. Says 2 of his sources says AU could have a new coach today or tomorrow. Sounds like if that's the case then it will be Stacy Searels. Apparently his daughter works in the recruiting office at AU. Also mentioned OK ST OL coach Josh Henson & former UF OL coach Brad Davis
