Have you ever noticed that everyone affiliated with Georgia Tech is a jerk?

When you mention you went to Auburn?
I think that rivalry has more hatred than anything related to Bama or Georgia.
Elitists

Strange topic is strange. Where’s our poster at that pulls for both GT and AU? Can’t remember his name

Every single Georgia Tech grad or person affiliated with the school that I have met has made some kind of comment upon learning that I went to Auburn. Normally ‘I’m sorry’ or ‘That’s too bad’ or similar.
More elitist than Bama or Georgia fans in my experience.

Pajarkas or something like that? I remember him from the old ESPN boards.

Kind of weird melt out of left field

I’ll be real man I’ve had nothing but incredible working relationships with several GT folks

One of my commanding officers said "I'm sorry" when I checked in and mentioned Auburn engineering school. He went to tech and mentioned the rankings.

I only know a handful of Tech grads, and they're all pretty nice people that includes two of my cousins who are still AU fans too

Tech and Auburn used to be a very heated rivalry. I’m sure everyone has heard of the pranks the two schools used to pull on one another including Auburn students greasing the train tracks when Tech came to town one year?

Tech is my second favorite team. I honestly dont think Ive ever had a bad interaction with a tech fan.

No bad interactions here. Kind of weird group, but overall no animosity.

I have a good friend that has an engineering degree from GT. He’s a great guy.

Had a good amount of tech friends when I lived in Atlanta, they were all pretty nice

I had a friend who went to GT for one semester, then transferred to Maryland. Said his campus housing site was so sketchy, he had to carry a switchblade with him whenever he left the building, Granted, this was in 1985, and for all I know things have changed for the better since then, but I'll never forget him telling me that

Maybe I’m just finding the abrasive ones

I mean, when we play each other Tech will trot out the "we're smarter" line and there isn't a lot we can do about it. Also, they beat us in our "recent" attempts so...
In general though, Tech fans are really low key so I never really encounter Tech jerks (at least about having anything to do with Auburn/Tech). Honestly I think a lot of AU people casually support Tech in Atlanta.
I grew up going to Tech games and recall those "old Atlanta" experiences fondly. I don't really have a #2 school in CFB but to the extent I do, I'd probably pick Tech. Wife and I already decided that if we have kids we'll probably periodically take them to Tech games. Both because I like Tech but also because Tech needs all the support it can get for football, and I don't want that Atlanta tradition to completely die out.
