Butt wasn't the whole thread concerning his ability to make a QB good?

No its to make a HS QB good. A stupid point in my opinion

Rather is there any indication that Gus might possess that skill set?

He did well with both Todd and Marshall. The common theme before 2010 was Cam couldnt hit the broad side of a barn and even Meyer said he had changed tremendously.

There is good evidence that Cam improved. Nick Marshall improved. I would argue that Sean White improved from 2015 to 2016, and lots of folks said he looked really good in the off-season of '17 before the unpleasantness.

Stidham... Not so much.

What I like better, and you hear it all the time, is the notion that you have to develop a HS QB to be successful or somehow "legitimate", as if having a successful transfer doesn't count. horseshite. I don't care if we get our QBs in the mail from Amazon, as long as they win football games

Gus' development of Cam during the season was nothing short of brilliant. After it took Gus 4 games to figure out how to use Cam. Gus used the LAMO and Chattanooga games to only pass the ball with Cam to allow him to get better at it.

Nah bro, the HS part was the twist you locked onto.

We've seem to have mentioned most every QB in the last twenty years, whether transfers, JUCO's, or HS signee. Nor was HS singled out by the OP where he claimed Gus has failed with all types and questioned their limited technical progress as (his) prove positive. As to STUPIDITY that's certainly debatable and might be better answered by the guys who's careers he's impacted.

etc: make less (unintentionally) pointed
