I think it'll be small by comparison. Maybe 25K?

40k

Would be better if we had a running of the gumps.

Last year was 28,033 on a cold, rainy day with Stidham locked in at starter but on the sidelines (except for the pre-game 7-7).

With better weather and a more compelling QB race, I'd go at least 35K. Wonder if they'll do anything for BB at half-time?

Not sure why i got downvoted for 18k.

We are coming off an embarrassing season. We still have Gus and now were breaking in a new Qb with zero experience in big games.

My expectations for this season are low. I dont think Gatewood will be the answer and i believe we will have a Qb controversy mid season.

Areas of concern are Qb, OL and LB

I’m in Auburn today and it’s quiet. I bet 25k is reported

Fair concerns, all. Wouldn't necessarily call last year "embarrassing" (not on the level of, say, 2003, 2008, 2012 or 2015) but definitely highly disappointing - but pretty much every one of us on this forum predicted similar results if our OL didn't perform, and that's exactly how it played out.

Just curious - what was our A-Day attendance in 2016-17? I would imagine we would hit somewhere in that range today (obviously I'm not helping our numbers )

We were preseason top 10 and played in the Music City Bowl. Relative to expectation, clearly embarrassing. Change the UT loss to a win and maybe we could have avoided the "embarrassing" moniker but that's what swung the season to such a low level.

13 80K+
14 80K+
15 62K
16 46K
17 46K
18 28K

2018 had bad weather. This weekend’s weather isn’t ideal either. Auburn also didn’t do much promotion of this ADay versus previous years and the basketball run probably affects it as well.

Seems like A-day was a lot more exciting back before everything was televised. It's boring as hell now.

I tend to agree.

I think 45K is the baseline for A-Day, assuming no factors like a new coach or poor weather that will track it up or down.

Given the weather and the recent basketball run, I’m guessing 30K or so.

I can’t see that being true. I can’t recall a shot where the upper bowl had a single person in it and the end zones were pretty sparse as well.

The lower bowl fits 60,000 so it’s theoretically possible to hit 40k without having many in the end zones or anyone in the upper deck
