Alabama could be on sanctions and have zero scholarships and there are a lot of parents that would rather pay to send their kids to Alabama than to get a scholarship to Auburn
You assume parents have that power. They don't.

Numbers wise we were signing more but most weren't showing up on campus.

UGA and Alabama have the state namesake. It is the way it is.
Yep that's why Clemson can't recruit against Scar isn't it?

Like I said before, it isn't a negative but they will have built in recruiting that no matter what, they will get a certain pool of players.
Once again, this wasn't your original argument. You said Bama and Georgia will always out recruit us. And you already proved yourself wrong.

I haven’t proved myself wrong nor have I changed my argument. South Carolina is a different beast altogether since they have always sucked minus a handful of years. Clemson has had more success in the past ten years than South Carolina has ever.
Go back and look at tubs’ recruiting classes at auburn. 2 or 3 of the top players in each class never showed up on campus. That is just a fact. If they scored classes by who showed on campus rather than who signed, most of his classes would have struggled to make top 25. That isn’t saying that he wasn’t a good judge of talent and a good developer of talent.

Not buying the Gatewood hype til I see him on the field. What little i have seen left a lot to be desired.
I'm in the Bo Nix camp. I'd rather have the 5* Legacy who grew up dreaming of being a QB for Auburn University.

Sam Ehlinger always dreamed of playing QB for Texas and absolutely balled out against OU so hopefully Bo can do the same for us.

It is the spring camp thing. Never fails the MVP of spring never plays in fall and is probably off the team by the end of the yr.

Not sure why you arguing this. State schools like UGa and Bama have a huge media bias. Ga Tech might as well not exist and Auburn, well their good but they will never be like the mighty Bama.
Just look at this recruiting cycle....the lies written about AU would have never been written about Bama.
Finally, if you don't think a bias media has influence, then you don't pay much attention to the MSM and how it influences people's political view etc.

Huh?
There is a ton of research done on this topic...people tend to approach news these days in search of affirmation, not information. If you are conservative you probably watch Fox, if you are alt-right you probably listen to Rush and read Brietbart, if you are moderate you likely watch Fox during the day and MSNBC in the morning and afternoon. If you are liberal you watch CNN or MSNBC at night. If your a socialist you like the Huffington Post...but under no circumstances does anyone go in search of info they go in search of affirmation of what they already hold as basic ideals.
Social media tends to send you info that reinforces this reality and people live in a bubble of their own ideals.

God this mentality is too widespread.
Would it be hard for Auburn to outrecruit Bama and UGA? Yes. Impossible though? Hell no. All Auburn has to do to get media attention is win. 2010 who was all over the media? Auburn. Cam had alot to do with it yes. But it was still there. 2013 we were a little disrespected but the spotlight was on us 2014. 2015 we still had the country's attention with many people predicting us to win the SEC and Jeremy Johnson to be a Heisman contender. Last year at the end of the season, everyone was paying attention to the iron bowl after we smashed UGA and the SEC championship was a game watched all across the country.
All we have to do to get media attention is win. And there's something to be said about us putting top 10 classes together despite consistently losing 4 games a year. Let Gus get his shite together and start competing for championships and that paradigm will shift. We will start pulling more players from Georgia and Bama. UGA will feel our presence no doubt.
But I will admit there's nothing anybody can do about Bama right now. Though it does seem Bama fatigue is setting in ever so slightly with these recruits. But once Saban is gone, as long as they don't hire Dabo and as long as we're a winning program, it will be wide open for our taking. And as long as we don't have people with your pussy arse mentality running the show.

Backup ND QB Brandon Wimbush is transferring after CFP.
“Wimbush has 2,606 career pass yards and 20 passing touchdowns with 12 interceptions at Notre Dame, while adding 1,155 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. He started Notre Dame's first three games this fall before Ian Book replaced him Sept. 22 at Wake Forest. He replaced an injured Book on Nov. 10 in Notre Dame's home finale against Florida State and passed for three touchdowns with 68 rushing yards in a 42-13 victory.
A New Jersey native, Wimbush went to Notre Dame as the No. 4 dual-threat quarterback and No. 45 overall player in the 2015 recruiting class. He appeared in only two games in 2015 and redshirted the next year before moving into the starting role last fall, as Notre Dame started 9-1 before struggling down the stretch.“

If Gus can develop his arm to near where Nick Marshall we'd be in store for an exciting season. But as of right now I wouldn't call him a savior til we see him in action.

I think ga tech new coach will eventually lock down Atlanta.
They made a good hire
A good ga tech is a nightmare for Athens

I agree if Ga Tech is good it hurts uga, but the idea a coach will lock down Hotlanta is unlikely.

Especially at ga tech. They still have pretty steep admissions

I think the big question mark here is whether Gus is even willing to shape the offense around a guy like this at this point.
I really think he looks at 2013 and thinks "I made something out of that but I don't think that's the solution." Which means, of course, that what Gus might be best at may not be what he wants to do.

I really doubt it, and I really hope not. That would be incredibly stupid. What he did that year was the same thing he did in 2010, the only two years he won sec championships and competed for nattys
