"We really want to get Joey involved in the gameplan for Nashville, he's got a lot to offer us and it's really on us as coaches for not making him a major part of what we're doing to date."

...

"And with Stidham's last snap as an Auburn Tiger, a big round of applause for him as Malik Willis will come in to finish this one out for Auburn and presumably try and pick up the first down with his feet. With 1:46 remaining in the 4th quarter Auburn trails by 16."

So Justin Fields finally realized he signed with the wrong school. I guess if he has to sit out a year AU is not a viable option.

I remember last year when we got picked to play UCF and every one on here was saying that it didn't matter. They didnt care about the game and it didnt matter what happened.

Then we lost

Now, all you hear is Gus's bowl record

He's still 1-3 in bowls without that loss. His one win was vs Memphis

No, they were correct. At one point he was not only a 5*, but the #1 ranked player at his position in the class.

5* verification for NCM

That was like 4 months before signing day

He finished as a 4* on every site. He was on the fringe, but still a consensus 4*.

I said he was “once a five star.” He lost it after his injury.

You are exactly right.

Gus knows he has to win this game.

He will put in the best qb at this moment. Honestly, he is fighting for his life and needs every win he can get.

Which is exactly what we should want a coach to do. Best players possible to win

No he is not and if you think he is, you are sadly mistaken. He has a 40 million dollar blanket over him. He is nice and warm for now like it or not

Not during a meaningless bowl game. Use it to get some meaningful snaps for the guys that are gonna carry next year's load.

And before you say it, Idgaf about Gus's bowl record. It's a stupid argument. He's given us plenty of ammunition during the regular season anyways. I will praise him more if we lose with Gatewood than if we lose with Stidham.

But there will be something to be said for him if he goes out there with Stidham and kicks the shite out of Purdue. That would be nice to see.

I tend to disagree with you here. I think next year he will be under tremendous pressure, and that only increases if the bowl game is lost.

They are not going to fire a coach and give him30 or 40 million dollars to leave for losing the Crap bowl or going 7-5.

Just face it, unless the wheels totally fall off, Gus will be here for a few more years at the minimum. Until that buy out becomes something reasonable.

Personally I could care less about the bowl game and would rather see a back up QB. I have been saying that since Stidham decided to leave. No need at all for him to play. But, fans cant ask for one thing then bitch about it after

But they will. I can always go back to the posts from last years bowl and see who was saying it didnt mean crap then are not bitching about his bowl record

Perdue beat the pants off Ohio State. They are capable. We are not the kid of team that can experiment and beat them. If we want to win, they need to play the best players. If we get up, then play the back up guys.

Personally, Id rather see Willis than Gatewood but thats just a personal choice

Why? What difference does 7-6 and 8-5 mean? Why not see what we have in Gatewood? Get the ball rolling for next season? Bc next season is definitely more important than this nobody bowl.

I agree with your reasoning. My comment is for what happens if we do let the new guy s play and lose.

Just like last year. Its not about what i want or believe. Its about the hypocrisy of this message board.

Yep "LOL" did a great job of conveying that message.
