AU makes changes to gameday operation. WFSA-Montgomery.
1) College Street downtown area will have one less lane because of construction.
2) Tailgating for RV will not start until 2PM on Fridays.
3) The stadium will have metal detectors and they expect that to take longer to get into the stadium. They recommend arriving at least 30 min. before. The metal detectors are a SEC mandate. You won't have to remove your belt or empty your pockets for these metal detectors, but clear bags will be checked.
4) You can bring in your own factory-sealed water. You can also bring in an empty water bottle and refill that as well, or a Yeti-type container
There is more information on tailgating and the metal detectors on the gameday website. LINK

Nothing too bad other than rv. Especially iron bowl week. It’s fun to get there Thursday and spend the whole weekend there.

That sucks.
Always pumped me up a little as a student when you saw the RVs rolling in early

As a fyi, the tailgating area by the community garden is blocked off this fall.

I’ll give Auburn a little credit. They’ve let that lot remain first come first serve to the public where there’s a lot of revenue they could be making. It’s not feasible for me to get off in a timely fashion to get there in time to beat the crowd so I’ve been renting a spot through the ag school. There must be some people that park in there with some pull.

No problem other than the RV rule. That’s just a boner killer.

Nothing better a student than a beautiful fall day on the plains watching RVs roll in on a Wednesday for a big game.

They are determined to make tailgating harder and harder aren’t they?
And seems like Auburn has been in a constant construction state for the past 20 years.

The nursing school students park in the old hayfields. Would displace a lot of them to allow RV parking that soon

Being from Birmingham, we knew a lot of the RV folks back when we were in school. You are absolutely correct. The home Iron Bowl was the greatest week of college. I hate to see this taken away.
