I don't think we are at risk of losing Bruce Pearl unless we actively damage the relationship

Bruce Pearl is very unlikely to be considered for a blue blood program and no team would realistically outbid us.

His personality is a perfect match for Auburn. I always said that. Plus, if he wants to ride the line a little, we will let him.

His banter to Charles Barkley during the tournament has made my orange and blue heart warm.

Also for consideration, By multiple accounts, Bruce Pearl won a power struggle with the University president

There is real value in being the most powerful figure on campus

know Bucky. He's cool, shot a lot of ball with him. He's got a bright future. I think he'd be a pickup

Someone on another site said Watfords dad seems to be extremely pro Bucky which explains the situation

Also mentioned Bucky seems to be a game prep/film junkie. That's something Bruce supposedly really likes in an assistant

I can’t imagine how hungry and hyped they are. Probably a perfect balance.

Now just put cam, bo and Tim Cook on the sidelines and Barkley in the studio being the greatest auburn billboard.

Marcello was saying in a Clay Travis thread (Clay is a Bruce fan that basically asked in a tweet that if Auburn isn’t going to pay Bruce, why aren’t other teams going after him,) that he’s asked Allen Greene about the contract discussions every game since the Florida game in the SEC tournament, and Greene has danced around the question every time. Marcello says he hasn’t seen that before with any other AD.

I’m blocked by Marcello. I’m not going to defend him.

Greene has done interviews with him though including the one revealing a master plan of facility updates that will be announced around August.

Yea from what I can tell, Greene and Bruce have a pretty good relationship. Whatever the plan is, I think both seem to be on the same page.

And this is Marcello just trying to stir up shite. Really Marshmellow? You've never seen an AD dance around a question about contract negotiations? Never?

IMO Bruce bets on Bruce...why sign an extension when every week you gain more leverage?

I feel like people give Marcello a lot of shite. I feel bad for the guy sometimes.

But then he posts stuff like that, or rights an article with a negative slant towards Auburn.

There’s not a single Alabama fan host on 3 Man Front Aaron Suttles was only a beat writer and Cole played at AU. I don’t believe Landrum pulls for Alabama either. If he does, he covers it up well

I think Landrum may have gone to AU. I could be mistaken though.

Aaron is for sure bama guy though. Nothing wrong with it, but he is most certainly pro-bama
