I sure hope so. Thought about that possibly being the goal but I'm not sure.

Looks like Perry Thompson came in a little lighter. Hopefully that is a good sign.

Anyone care to explains me why: our cornerback's seem small ?
CB Donovan Starr: 5-11, 172
CB Devin Williams: 5-9, 163
CB Blake Woodby: 5-11, 180
We're talking my size of people.

Williams is small but also is probably a top 5 fastest players in the class.
The others are pretty standard freshman CB sizes TBH. Average NFL corner is 5'11 and 190.

Because we don’t have shoe deals for the 6’2 ones

Pure Speed
the answer? Over height, length, range, heft.

No
but it
is an important factor if you are going to take a smaller CB.

Speed, reaction, change of direction (“hips), all favor guys in that 6’ height
Obviously pass breakups, being physical are traits that taller corners have.
If you can get a taller corner with the shorter corners skills you have a unicorn which there are generally only 1-2 of those types guys a year in recruiting cycle

True Freshman corners are typically in that size range but we have had some oddly small corners in terms of weight recently. Really feel like Jaylin Simpson could have really helped himself NFL wise if he was at least 190. Some guys just have an incredibly difficult time putting on weight though. Devin is smaller than average, but a true baller from what I've heard.

Just talked to Cameron Toney at a gas station in Hville. Some faces are just undeniable, although he did have on an AU shirt. He didn’t do much at AU, but just goes to show how much some of us keep/kept up with recruiting/rosters.

Holy Crap haven't heard that name in awhile lol Hope the guy is doing alright. I saw Cassanova Mckinzy at a Winn Dixie I worked for years ago. Gave him some extra Catfish and gave him a "War Eagle" he and his buddy Chuckled and said "appreciate it"
dude was huge

Some are saying Deuce might be good enough to start right away.
I wonder if Bruce Pearl needs some help after football season.

Have you seen some of the NFL corners?

Deuce will be the backup. Arnold will start. Arnold has been very impressive in the player workouts.
Deuce is farther along with accuracy then most thought. He has all the tools but he will be way behind in full defense drills and reading defenses. No need to rush him.
We need the team to be better and stop expecting every QB to be the “savior” of the program. Our OL and DL better be better. If so we can be a good team

If we aren’t then it will be a stopping teams in the red zone and then converting in the red zone which was our “big” problem last season.
