2 minutes to go until Moody wraps up the 5A sweep of Football State Championships.

Girls won Flag Football after finishing runner-up last season
Boy win Football after finishing runner-up last season.

What’s your connection to Moody

Also Moody is lucky that Jake’s wife won’t let him move out of Chelsea. He’d be an interesting hire for a college team looking to take a shot on a HS coach.

My 2 step sons are graduates of Moody. Also have 1 graduate of Trussville, and 1 graduate of Brookwood.

I know all these Moody kids. Most of Leeds kids, Springville, St. Clair, Pell City, Most of St. Clair county schools and surrounding areas. Plus many in the Birmingham Metro area.

Ganus would make an excellent college coach. Hell the UAB job is posted on Indeed.

Speaking of Ganus' wife. Wow. Smoke show.

UAB is going to the temp coach. I think they have quit. Interesting, Grass is going to Samford.

You're probably right and UAB would be the only place he'd probably consider going to because

Not really. She comes from money but she owns a boutique. Hardly a "bread winner" I think Jake makes over $130k a year being HC and AD and doesn't have a teach a class.

Both LSU and Ole Miss expect him to sign with Auburn. Unless something has changed in the last 30 minutes.

Auburn added a UR S from Thompson, Damonta Tabb

quote:

Auburn on the last day of the early signing period has added an in-state safety to its 2026 recruiting class.

Thompson defensive back Damonta Tabb, who had 11 interceptions as a senior, on Friday announced plans to sign with Auburn.

Tabb, who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, received an offer from the Tigers earlier in the day.

Tabb also had offers from West Virginia, Maryland, USF, Cincinnati and Baylor, among others.

As a senior, Tabb helped lead Thompson to the 7A state championship. He finished with 78 tackles, including 50 solos, four tackles for loss, 11 pass deflections, a fumble recovery and 11 interceptions.

11 interceptions.
.

Regardless of competition, that is just impressive, let alone doing it at Thompson and 7A. Being unranked at this stage is pretty wild. Did he just never go to a single camp ever?

Yeah him being unranked at that size, with those stats, with those offers and coming from that school makes no sense lol.

They'll slap a random, low 3* rating on him and call it a day

Definitely some tools to work with, I'll take it. The final clip in that vid, he has some pretty impressive backpedal speed. Covered a lot of ground while still watching the QB. Could be a nother that ends up at LB one day if he grows more like Sherwood, just hopefully we figure it out before he goes to the NFL if that ends up being a better spot for him.

SEC just voted to increase scholarship size to 105

More than enough to go around in the NIL age, so shouldn't hurt

This is all worth the flyer... If he can tackle, put 25-30 lbs on him and move him to WLB...
