Yea, it is getting a little ridiculous.

We had no recruiting violations. We had bad impermissible benefits.

We suspended both players for a year, one basically 1.5 years. Fired the coach. Implemented self recruiting bans. Did a full internal investigation and did not see that anyone else on the staff had any knowledge of it other than the involved parties. All of this before any type of formal NCAA notice.

Yea, let's just keep this one open though

It kind of feels like Auburn's case has been put on the NCAA's back-burner for the time being. Perhaps because our situation is different from the others.

They seem more focused on other schools right now.

Seriously, this is frustrating. Because we know it isn't likely to be severe yet we can't be sure until it's cleared up. So it's hurting our recruiting as much as any of the other guilty schools despite us being more of a "victim" than a "cheater". I hope they also consider the 3 years of having this black cloud over our program as a sort of "time served" in addition to the self-administered penalties and NCAA suspensions.

Wtf? If our case is really that unimportant just drop it. We were by far the most cooperative school, with charges that gave is literally no advantage whatsoever and only hurt us. And honestly I feel like we've been punished more than enough already, not just the suspensions and paying everything back, but just having Auburn and Pearl's names caught up in this has been bad for public perception and who knows how much that's affected recruiting.

I mean it was outside on a court they've never shot on..... I wouldn't put much stock, if any, into the shooting and 3 point contest from last night.

For me it was less the shot results and more the form. Okoro has a weird looking release that probably needs help

McCormick meanwhile looks smooth. I think he is going to make a huge jump shooting wise

They secure his G league rights with this.

He is 30 years old now but he still is a top flight athlete. Probably not a terrible person to have on a 2way contract

We got another CB for Jayden Stone today from an EYBL recruiting analyst.

Would prefer Green but doubt that happens after he canceled our visit.

Don’t know when Bruce said it but the quote below probably shows a little frustration in the way Kessler and Brakefield basically fell in love and committed on the spot to blue bloods while saying no thanks to one of the recruiters that has been courting them for the longest. Bruce is probably little frustrated

From Bruce, talking about going up against the blue bloods in recruiting: “I can recruit them for three years and they can recruit them for three weeks”.

Maybe we had a blessing in disguise with the NCAA thing. If Bruce didn't have baggage, I could see him at UCLA.

I don’t think so. Where do you see that?

Latest articles I see say Kentucky is trying to make a push and that the recruitment is expected to go deep into the spring.

Poster on 247 says Matthew Murrel’s top 3 is Auburn, Ole Miss, and Texas, and that he’s announcing November 9th.

Can’t find any confirmation to any of it.

He recently visited Ole Miss. Ole Miss has always made him a top priority. Could be our biggest threat.

Hasn’t even visited Texas yet.

The CB favors Vandy, and they’re not even in the supposed top 3.

If anybody has Murrell, Chris Moore, Jaylin Williams news, bring it.

Jake
@jakeweingarten

Auburn is sending an assistant in today for five-star senior Jalen Green, a source told @Stockrisers. They were slated in to see him last Thursday but scheduling conflicts on Jalen’s end (USC OV), got in way of that.

Jake
@jakeweingarten
They will also check out 2021 guard Jaden Jones, i’m told. They’re intrigued in him and have watched him play while visiting Jalen Green.

They will keep close tabs on Jones, they’ve yet to offer.

Sorry, I misread "Green" and for some reason though of Greg Brown.

Wasn't long ago that top 25 was a pipedream. Now we lose 5 rotation players including top 3 scorers and we are still there. Amazing stuff.

Yeah I’m cool with #24. I think we’ll be good but I’m not sure what the team is going to look like on the court

This team has the talent to make a good tourney run, they are just very young and it will take time to mesh. 24 is probably just about right.
