Coynis Miller seems to have had that 'Nick Coe' type of practice and work ethic.
unfortunate. Hurts our depth and experience...

Damn. Time is flying by and I’m an idiot. The guy should know the routine by now so pretty obvious the coaches weren’t happy with him.

That's a shame for him and the team. 2020 sucks. Hopefully Gus will address it in his presser.

Jay G Tate said earlier this morning that Coynis Miller got heated with an AC at practice that was dogging him over his effort. Miller was sent home.
Tate said his sources think Miller will be dismissed.
Jboy is now tweeting about it but Tate’s information.
Next. And as much of an AU homer as Vakakes is, he's had two guys sign with AU with questionable motors, attitudes and nagging injuries. Maybe we should not recruit Jackson-Olin for awhile. He's known for promoting his players to the point of them having to be extremely de-recruited.
Of course this is Gus and staff's fault somehow.

It's not a JO thing it's a cultural thing.
Today's generation, "you can't tell me what to do", Coach G's generation, "get your lazy arse back in line and do it again, good better, now do it again".
Just like I tell my players we aren't going to do it until we get it right we are going to do it until we don't get it wrong. We take weeks as a part of practice time learning to get a lead from first base and how to step then dive back into the base, then we work on our jumps stealing and secondary leads when not stealing. The moaning and groaning is ridiculous. I've only really had one player try to man up and was a pitcher that said he wasn't running after his throwing session.

Well, I know what Vakakes does with his kids and I played against his Dad on teams in Alabama. He does the player build-up for the right reasons, but it doesn't work. He'll have a spate of athletic kids who wash out in college programs. There are a litnany of HS programs just like that.
We didn't seem to recruit that uber-talented safety that Jackson-Olin had last year after he decommitted. That was directed by Steele. Jackson-Olin is one school in Alabama where AU is guaranteed a fair to advantaged recruitment, so I can see the attraction for AU. But if you're producing talented shitheels, then no thank you.

Maybe that just your soft arse baseball players instead of a whole generation.

Lol. Not sure if that is supposed to be a insult but I'm sure you have no idea what you are talking about. But trust me it's not just JO it's all kids. I'm not familiar with JO's head coach so I can't comment on he treats his players but you've heard from Coach G mention for years having a year to de-recruit kids from all over the country that plays for him.
So if you have no dealings with kids from 14-20 you probably have no idea what goes into in today's world.
I'm sure with the things that are going on in the country that almost every young black male feels empowered and emotional over things.

SDS gives more details but gets wrong that he is opting out. I think he was flat out dismissed.

Miller, who was a highly recruited 4-star prospect when he signed out of Jackson-Olin High School in 2018, launched a profanity-laced tirade on the practice field Wednesday after being told to put his helmet on. When told to calm down, he didn’t and was finally told to leave the field.
Sources tell AuburnUndercover that Miller made the decision to opt out after meeting with head coach Gus Malzahn on Thursday

I would still give it a few days to see how all this plays out. Unless he was threatening someone he probably will be given the opportunity to cool off and weigh what happened. That's just my opinion.

He has been an effort guy since he arrived at campus. Coach G (which is obviously the AC dogging him about his effort that provoked the reaction) has been very transparent about that. He tells the media when he needs to pick up his effort and he praises him to the media when his effort has improved. Because he isn’texactly a Rs freshman, I think he is probably gone. At some point if you keep preaching the same thing and the kid continues to go back to old habits the coaches begin to lose interest in pushing him.

I think you're saying Coynis has been an 'effort guy' since he arrived at AU. If so, that couldn't be further from reality. I may be confusing your comments related to Trusedale, who's really improved. If so my apologies. (edit) He's reshaped his body, works hard now and is a great teammate. He may project higher than the DT from Valdosta or Norcross who's name I can't remember.
Coynis was very lazy at Jackson-Olin and has continued to be lazy at AU. I think at a place more cutthroat and that recruits more 5* bodies/talent you might have seen him move on earlier.

I’m not saying he has been a high effort guy. I’m saying his effort or lack of has been brought up since since he has been here. It’s been a common theme surrounding him.
Truesdell made a really good showing last year during the heat of the football camp and then into the season. He Is a really solid player.

He sounds like a Byron Cowart type.

Read a rivals post from a random poster:
Gus is averaging signing 5.5 Rivals 150 guys per year. While
averaging 2 Rivals 150 departures as well.
Anybody care to fact check?

Jang is right.
Its the reason we recruited two JC linemen who will both play the interior this year, that and the fact we hope Newkirks achilles holds up.
Plus it makes room for our future Warren Sapp (JJ Pegues to come on over the water is fine).
Course I hope they are all healthy after Joey runs all over us in the opener, what cha think Jang

Haha! One good power run from Joey and then a dab would be so hot.
