It's been unusually quiet for Auburn heading into recruiting/bowl season.
Has Gus held a press conference about the Music City Bowl? Have we heard recent affirmations of support for Gus from inside the AU Admin, from prominent boosters, or from former players/coaches?
I guess I'll eat crow if Kelly Bryant or some other hotshot dual-threat transfer QB signs with AU and says how happy is to be playing for Gus, but this quiet makes me think there are still things going on behind the scenes with Gus.
At a minimum, we know we are looking for a new OC and a transfer QB, but it seems odd that we haven't even gotten a non-statement from Gus on any of these issues. I know he's as misanthropic as Saban, but we usually hear something.
If he were to stay, you'd think that part of the "turn around" plan he sold to the PTB would be to get a good transfer QB. If he misses on Kelly Bryant or others, I'd say that doesn't bode well for Gus.
Here's to hoping no news is good news.

Agree with your post and wouldn't be surprised to see Gus bolt for Georgia Tech if he doesn't get a transfer QB. He doesn't want to endure another season like last year.
