Nice runs by both.
I also noticed the second string line opened the hole for Joiner on his nice run for a TD.

DJ Williams, from a build standpoint, does look a lot like Mike Dyer.
Another year in the weight room and look out.

Replaced DJ for Malik and passed the ball. Every. Single. Time.
If my wife can call the play from the stands, Fave Aranda can too.

That's why he's not ready to be the man yet. Apparently he's not ready for pass pro.

DJ looks like a combination of Bo and Hershel compared to Martin

Just a small part our fanbase misses.

Dawg, that was Mike Dyer after 3 years in a college weight room.
DJ Williams has missed a lot of time in the weight room from injury already.
I don’t think his arms will be that big, FWIW.

DJ is the best RB on our roster.

DJ looks more like Ben Tate to me.

DJ and Dyer are total different body types. A better comparison for DJ is Derrius Guice.

DJ and Dyer are total different body types
Mike Dyer: 5’9, 220 pounds
DJ Williams: 5’10, 216 pounds (probably actually 5’9 given Auburn inflates height measurements)
Low center of gravity, tree trunks for legs. Big calves.
Again, let’s keep in mind DJ Williams missed a lot of weight room time with injury.

This dumb dumb way of thinking cost us the Ga Tech game in 2005.

Running style reminded me of Caddy

Those two definitely looked like that best backs today. KM had a good run but wasn't consistent, Shivers looked good as well.

I have said he reminds of Dyer from day 1. Especially with that little bit of toe pointing inward in his gait. Very Dyerish lol.
Also, I seem to be the only person on any board pointing out that there is more Gut on DJ than almost ny D-lineman lol. Has he missed out on sit-ups and crunches? Looks good but dang I didn't expect that

He looked exactly the same as he did the day he come to Auburn. He is not our back. Not the guy

This. Watch tapes of both of them in the open field, they have that "shuffling" gait, their feet seem to never get more than a foot off the ground. It tis effective though.
And Joiner is just a pretty runner, very smooth.

Yeah, I know it was the final possession vs the worst defense in the league, but damned if he didn't look great on his few touches. Would really like to see him in there on short yardage situations instead of, well, pretty much all of our other backs
Now that I think of it - what about JoinerCat? Is that a possibility now that Boobie's out for awhile?

He ran the wildcat once last year, in the redzone. He scored a touchdown.
